Proc Scaling

I have a question regarding old T7 proc items with the new level cap. It could be my imagination but it seems that these spells (fire aura, thule bracer, heritage belt etc..) seem to be getting resisted quite a bit more on higher level mobs, and I'm wondering if it's because the proc spell scales with the level of the item. If this is the case would it become a viable option to switch these out for the abundance of BOE + crit gear from the quest lines.

If I missed a similiar post to this one already feel free to flame away.

I've swapped a few of those items out already due to the fact that there are better items dropping now even if you ignore spell resists (not for all the the old proc items... but some).

I haven't looked into how often things are being resisted yet because most of my time so far in RoK has been soloing or grouping where I play defensivly a lot. I'll look at my logs extensively tonight and see just how much dmg each proc is doing per minute over the entire night's parse and see how it compares to +SD.

The numbers I use to calculate which items are better are really rough numbers atm. I haven't looked into the actual numbers yet.

I assume 20 spells per minute for +SD.
I assume +25 SD per 1% crit.

Entirely false. T7 dmg proc items do just as much dmg as in eof even on orange raid mobs in VP. Not really any problem with resists and i still think i'll stick with most of them till really significant upgrades come across.

I swapped a few of them out for crit and BoE. I find it much nicer to trade 2k in procs for 800ish +spell damage and i'm up to 48% crit chance raid buffed. Some of the really nice mage items i've seen have both crits and procs on them, and if you are really lucky have all three.
