Default Is netherbeast worth casting

I've been using netherbeast during raids. It's not survivabilty I'm asking about, I can keep it alive. But is the damage it's doing worth casting it? I don't run my own parser so I can't do dmg charts to see what it is doing. Thoughts from top end raiders clearing VP would be appreciated.

Default Re: Is netherbeast worth casting

Haven't even got netherbeast, but i've taken out that spell out of my casting rotation for 2 reasons: 1/ Most of the mobs, trash or nameds, have melee aoes that OS it, and i sure as hell ain't gonna joust casting the pet with the melee aoes as there is certainly a better spell to cast that'd be up. 2/ Netherbeast pet does crushing damage, i.e. it melees. You certainly know the hit rate of melee classes on orange mobs i suppose.
Any more questions?

yeah, the melee part was the part I was concerned with. As for it staying alive I haven't had any trouble with it in VP. Rear flank will avoid the aoe, netherbeast and broodlings.
