I recently got this item out of Chelsith and was told that it is broken but they are fixing it today. Is this a viable item for a warlock and what exactly are the benefits if any for a grouping warlock and raiding warlock?

Wouldn't be able to tell ya.. been farming him for a few weeks now and he's either not up or doesn't drop anything but wood chests (/thanks Chandrok)..

Actually I got it off Majora Leviathon. And it dropped again last night for some guildies and they muted it.

it would be good for soloing caster mobs not sure if i would use it otherwise in groups or raids

Against a single target mob this thing can be pretty insane, from my own experience it has a chance to make you immune to ae's but as a result it prevents your own ae's... go figure but I get the message target is immune when I cast upheaval/acid stom/cataclysm or any blue ae (including the temp buff) so as I said only useful on an ae encounter, if and only if the strain you getting smacked in the face is too great for your healer. If it isn't then it's useless cause all you re doing is nerfing your own dps :P

sucks for you cause it was fixed and works for me when I use blue AoE's.

Yes, it is completely fixed. And yes, it owns now. Even with nerfed props it'll usually pop after 3-4 AEs; combined with our epic proc the amount of AE dps we can put out safely is incredible.

Last night was I parsing 8k dps and not pulling aggro on the 5 groups in TNT. I was in the MA group, with only dirge buffs and a moderate. I shudder to think about how much I could've done in a proper mage group+HL+another group. (We just went in there with 3)
