Re: Propagations - Nerfed
If the reason they decide to "fix" the spell was due to epics...why not just add "does not affect epics"...we're already used to seeing that
I'd personally prefer having the ability affect item procs only instead of spells.

Re: Propagations - Nerfed
This really calls into question the overall use of props now.
Of course it is probably still the best investment of the AP's since Vacuous and Volativity are generally considered shit.
But this also might force us to ask another question not about Props itself, but to proc items.
Now that Props no longer works on items, are older dmg proc items such as Grizzfazzles/Mystic orb earring/ Bone clasped girdle, worth it anymore? Without their proc chances being buffed up by props, will they still contribute a portion of dps that still makes them better than items with superior stars such as +crit and + dmg, with just their base proc chance?
Well, at least the fucking preds can stop saying "zomg we should be #1 dps because we offer no utility unlike you", I'd say our utility just took a kick in the nuts.

Re: Propagations - Nerfed
I agree with Ancient on this.. When an expansion comes out and it is known issue, and your told that to make the parse as a warlock (t7) you need proc gear, so we farm and aquire. Now that T8 is out, we bitched that there were not many proc gear items but the ones that we can use are decent enough to warrent keeping propagations AND our old T7 procing gear. So some of us pass on a few items that come our way for the items that we kept only to find 3 months later that OPPS.. it's been broke for over a year.. /shrug .. your loss. According to Illuminator we're supposed to go "OH FINNALLY! ALL PRAISE SoE for FIXING IT!" .. yeah.. ok.. so im pissed.. WoCP with VWB don't proc as often, spell procs items dont either, so im looking at a loss of dps, loss of utility in the mage group, and wondering if i should just switch to Wizard and be done with it. Being a warlock was fun trying to outparse the Assassin (only once.. Ashaine is a beast), T8 only has maybe 3 zones with a few encounters that AoE's are king. So now our single target dps is GREATLY diminished, just by taking propagations off of proc items. They say that epic weapons are the reason why and the Fabled that are now on Avatars.. ok.. well im sure not every warlock is going to get the epic weapon.. and if they do, they do.. so does every other class.. i don't see a nerf in any compairable spell for any other class.. where is our Balance in the game?

Re: Propagations - Nerfed
This "nerf" was due since the moment they increased it another percent when it was already one of the most overpowered AAs in the game. It was a long time coming but I am glad they finally fixed it.

Explain to me what/how it was "overpowered". What spells/classes did it overpower? And now that its "fixed", how has this made your grouping/raiding noticibly different? So at 3% this AA was one of the most "overpowered" AA lines according to you, I'm curious...what AA lines current or past, are more "overpowered" then a +3% increase to proc gear?

Re: Propagations - Nerfed
It had too much of an impact on proc gear in the mage group. I stopped playing when RoK came out, but back in mid EoF you were a stupid mage if you didn't stack as much proc gear as you could a hold of. Increasing proc rates of the whole group went like this
Procs with a x time/min with 4% propogation
1.0 -> 2.0, 100% increase
1.6 -> 2.6, 62% increase
1.8 -> 2.8, 55% increase
2.0 -> 3.0, 50% increase
(most proc items were in this range)
And then they are all capped at double the proc rate with two warlocks.
This had an impact on damage done, but also the mana recieved from proc gear as well as any other benifical effects. I am just glad they finally fixed it. Way later then they should have, but it was due.

Re: Propagations - Nerfed
They just made it so that Wizards are more desireable than Warlocks.. Our raid is needing a dps class and they were going to fill it with another warlock. Now they are wondering if 2 wizards are better than a wiz warlock combo.. /shrug. So for my own perspective 232 magic damage hitting every 2 sec vs. 1.8 sec with the option of increasing the proc further with another warlock .. heh.. might as well just get an imbuded mastercrafted ring with the "fix" they did with propagations. Not every warlock is/was able to get the pants from MO (never dropped for me), the leggings of Lucidity were replaced fairly quickly when RoK came out. These items made it so i could choose to use different aa's instead of the reduced mana cost. So, again not very helpful to the class at all.. if it only increases spell damage proc chance, it should just read "increases spell buffs proc chance".. because now thats all it does.. just buffs. And for us warlocks to get propagations do we have to pretty much softcap our own buffs proc chance esp. with a raid setup? I mean really.. if you wanted epic weapons to not to have that great of an impact with the way propagations was, don't design them that way.
