Let me be the first to say, we got screwed compared to wizards. It will take people time to realize it, but when they do it will be a rude awakening. The 30% increase on Appoc/Absolution does not equal the double attack chance, no less the double attack AND the increase of spell damage on all spells by 10%. Read the item carefully, it works only on IN encounter spells, limiting the benefit of 30% to appoc, null absolution and radiation. 30% on three spells (assuming you'd use radiation on single target) vs 10% on all spells including master strikes and gear procs likely. Wow... just wow. Add us to Illu's as getting screwed.

Need I say anything about enhancing Netherbeast? Even if I did cast it, half the time it just stands there. Hell, even my broodlings are acting crazy this tier with pathing and just standing there... thanks for increasing the two most bugged spells of the class.

I think it's a bit underpowered compared to wizards as well. I'd like to see acid storm added to the double pets and 50% dmg from the aes, maybe even have it convert ALL aoe's including upheaval, that would balance the sorc weaps out I think.

What the crap, upgrades to pet-spells that are barely used in RoK because the large majority of mobs have AE (damage, fear and/or stun). One of 'em even needs the goddamn nil crystals which I HATE to farm.
While absolution does do a great amount of damage it also takes a long time to cast, I can probably still do more damage casting single target stuff which willeven be up faster with this weapon.

I'll have to see how raids are with that thing equipped, but the way I see it now it's pretty mediocre compared to other classes' mythical weapons.

basically, in my view, people were going to whine unelss our weapon was the same as the wiz one,which it was never going to be. I'd happily take 30% to arma, with enough reuse gear and some good casting time as it is i can mop the floor with most wizards, give them their double attack, it'll just put them to the floor faster along with assassins. Get your mythical, and throw some parses around, then complain, until that point, it wouldn't do you all any harm to stop whining all the time.

What's the cap on base spell damage? I was thinking it's 50%.

If thats the case, the clicky would suck because we'll be overcapped with 10% dark orb + 10% choker + 10% aftershocks + 30% epic.

And even that isn't the case, its not likely it will change our spell rotation much. Apoc will still be our #1 spell and abs would move from below acid to above vacuum chamber, but that's it. Nebula will still be our crappiest single-target spell. All three spells will remain hampered by the 1/3 of SD penalty. Perhaps you cast abs and nebula alot on single targets if you have a robe of al'kabor, but I certainly don't and I have a ton of other spell haste gear.

We might squeeze out 3% more total dps out of Apoc and 1% more total dps out of Abs, but that's pretty much it. That in no way matches up with the wizzie +10% spell damage and 10% spell double attack. The broodlings/netherbeast thing is a joke.

They made the necro/conj mythic weapons have similar good effects with some flavor to make them different. Why couldn't they do the same with wizards/warlocks?

The thing tho, about the wizards weapon is that spell double attack is a new concept in the game and they do get it ...

power regen procs, hp buffs all the other stuff already exists in the game in some other form


Because it's a new concept they will have room to do more dps even when wizards reach the cap every single other skill, +base +casting time +reuse +spell dmg, they will on top of that have spell double attack.

And you can say we shouldn't whine about it, of course we do have to whine abou it, cause 1+1 makes 2 and it's fucking logical that the spell double attack is gonna screw over the dps balance between wizards and warlocks. Just because it's a new concept that can be used to increase your dmg even more.
