Default Warlock Mythical 2.0

Rumors abound about the new effects on class epics. Monk's strike-through ability, among others are being adjusted. Now that we've seen what is out there on these mythicals, what do we expect on ours?

I'll start off by saying, I could care less about the dehate. I'd gladly lose it for something far more meaningful like a 10% increase to hostile spell damage, or 10% double attack (like the wizards have). With nerfs to spell hit rates, dehate is not going to be an issue in VP, especially if your tank was already holding decent hate with his current hit rates vs. our "bugged" ones. Tanks will also be gaining double CoB's and the proc benefit from PoM as well on their taunts (scouts gain from PoM as well)... making them hold better hate than ever. As such, the decrease of 1 threat priority does us nothing, and those seeking such a dehate can pursue the claymore reward.

Next, the 30% increase on our aes was a good idea, and I applaud the developer who came up with it. However, it works on only (in all practically sense) 2 of our spells, and the benefit does not help us on ae encounters... while the wizard epic's 10% base and 10% double attack continues to work on singles and ae encounters, making their epic far more versatile.

The final effect, that of the swarm pets, my only suggestion is to toss in an ae immunity effect as well... or to give us either the double attack or increase in base spell damage instead of a boost to our dumbfire pets.

-You shouldn't want spell double attack unless the mechanics are changed as to how it is applied to spells.
-AE immunity on swarm pets will never happen, and if it does, grats Summoners, not Warlocks.

If you think the de-aggro proc is worthless, you aren't doing enough DPS and shouldn't complain about other effects because they won't make you worth a fuck.

Maybe add 30% cast speed to the clicky as well. Since these are aoe spells they are intentionally slower spell casts than single target, and converting them to single target should give them single target cast speeds. I would also like to see acid storm added to the double pets, since this is supposed to be our "special" spell of this tier. Wizards can double cast rays so our special should be affected by our epic as well. The deaggro can stay or go, either way I have no opinion about that part.

I'm guessing either you guys are suffering from really shitty tanks, or are parsing in the 8k+ single target range. I'm parsing at around 6k in VP (given currently hit rates) with higher spikes on single target encounters and I pull hardly any hate without the mythical. I also have um, FD since I'm a tinkerer, and my hate priority racial ability for dropping hate. I'm sorry if you guys haven't bothered taking up tinkering and maximized your toon's potential. Also, if you bothered to read the post you'd see I'm talking about the changes to hate gain after the hit rate changes go live + CoB mythical + PoM mythical. You're telling me you're doing so much hate, and your tank is holding so little, that you absolutely will be pulling hate after these changes? You guys must be dying every other spell, or have not mastered controlling your hate by other means.

Also, you're free to disagree with me on my analysis of any single effect. After all thats the point of this board, to discuss the effects. I'm trying to promote positive change for the item from my perspective (group makeup/raid experience). Why don't you give your suggestions as to what the mythical should have or do you really believe SoE is on the ball?

I like how everyone jumps to the conclusion I do not do enough dps whenever I complain about dehates. I've never once said I've been dissatisfied in my numbers. I for once and for all will say... I'd rather be holding back on my dps, and be forced to master control of my class's hate by teetering on the edge of destruction and the top of the parse, rather than have no hate to worry about. Imo, a fundamental skill of being a warlock comes from managing ones own hate, and I'm sorry for those who've gotten to the point they're tired of this notion and would rather have the easy button on full time.
