Default Haste or Recast?

Always confuse on choosing these two. At the same percentage which one can provide more dps? I dont have the Robe of Al'Kabor.
What if the critical chance also put into the comparison.. like 2% crit..recast and haste..which on should I choose? need some advises..

the best compromise of the 3. however spell haste will give the easiest noticeable increase in dps.

I keep bouncing around my ratio of the three, but its tough because there's alot of codependent variables. If you have lots of spell damage, reducing cast speed is better off than recast. If you're hitting diminishing returns in cast speed, recast is better. If you have lots of procs casting speed is better. If you use AE spells alot crits are relatively more powerful than spell damage...but if you normally AE more 4+ mobs at once, spell damage gets the advantage. If you use your smaller-amount spells more often crits are more powerful, larger-amount means spell damage is more powerful. If you're fighting higher-level mobs, crits are weaker. Getting the mythical is going to add a whole new headache for me based upon how often the clickie is used

All that being said...with about 850 SD now, as far as gear goes I'm currently rating 1 base = 2 cast = 3 recast = 3 crit = 40 SD. I think when I get another 50 SD I'll be kicking up the 40 SD to 50 SD, as I'm already hitting the cap on a few spells.

This is a good thread to get a wide range of opinions on a ratio between all of them:

Thought that there was a cap on SD of 500 or so.. Crit is 100 (though you suffer diminishing returns), cast speed only by half of the spell cast, and not sure about reuse.. i believe it's the same, only half of the spell cast. Am i misinformed?

The cap is 50% of the damage of the spell.

It is 50% of high end damge. And for low end, its 50% or if 50% is greater than 500, it caps at 500.

That's wrong.

It's 50% of the low-end for the low-end, and 50% of the high-end for the high-end. If you crit, the cap increases by 30%. +Base Damage does not count towards the cap, nor does it increase the cap.

There is no solid # for the cap, it depends on what your INT is, the quality of your spell, and whether you crit or not.

From there, got something seems like 1% Base Increase ~ 2% Cast Haste ~ 4% Recast Haste ~ 4% Recovery Haste ~ 2.5% Crit Chance ~ 39 BOE.

So is there any big difference between warlock and wiz that can influence this formular?

Or are there any other factors that might need to consider?
