Situational Casting
Hey guys. I think I've worked out a decent casting order for normal dpsing situations, but I have a couple of questions about how you deviate from your normal order in certain special circumstances.
Pull: I know on my assassin I have like 5-6 debuffs that I throw up on the mob on the initial pull. For the warlock, I would consider this the time to cast Gift, Realm, Vacuum Field & Acid Storm. How often, if ever, would you use Curse of Luclin/Humility. Last time I played my warlock (two years ago) I never really used them as they didn't seem powerful enough to be worthwhile. Is this still the case?
Then I would throw up my initial round of DOT's and move into the normal casting order.
Velium Gift/POtM: How much do you deviate from your normal casting order when these go up. Obviously fast casters will get you more procs out of this, but is it worth throwing your order off much? Is it worth throwing up Focused Casting at this time too? Or do you save that for a section of your cast order that has generally more longer casting spells?
J-Cap: Again, how much do you alter your cast order for this? Does it make sense to change up to an oder more focused on fast recasts like distortion, dissolve, radiation, cataclysm at this time with the intention of getting two of each off? Or drop heavy hitters with standard long recasts so that they are up again sooner?
Are there any other special situations you can think of that I'm missing that you would change up your rotation for?
Thanks!
