What is the best spell order for max dps for warlock, aoe and one target?

If you read some of the older posts in the warlock forum, you will find that other people have asked the same question. And behold, you will find the answer in thoose threads....

I am sure a warlock that had their morning coffee might want to answer your question in this thread....

The short answer to that, is there is no best spell order as it is very situational depending on group/raid makeup, your gear, your spell quality, your aa setup, the number of mobs, if they are linked or not, and their levels, etc...

That said, as pointed out there are a number of really good threads further down in the forums where discussions about all of this have taken place and lots of great information was shared. If I find the one I'm thinking of I will edit this to include a link to it.

Warlock is a class that can't be played well in easy mode. To really be good you need to know what gear is the best overall (and why), what gear is good for specific situations, what your spells actually do, be aware of when temporary buffs on you make particular spells have more impact or efficiency and likewise for debuffs on mobs.

These forums in particular have lots of gems relating to all that and more, you just need to mine them. I promise you though, if you do that, you will enjoy your warlock to no end while embarrassing your fellow dps'rs by outparsing them all the time.

Making sure I got this stuff right.

This is what I changed my single target cast order too:

brood,tumultuous maelstrom,aura of void, armageddon, vaccuum chanber, freehand, distortion, acid, dissolve flames, encase.

With this can parse high 3k to 4k's if I have illy

Any help is would be nice.

if don't have mythical, remove netherbeast from that order
after that, go by your efficiency ratings for your toon... least that's what i do

Question - If I cast freehand then Arm wont just the first tick of arm have the increase?

Base mods affect each tick individually

Don't open with broodlings unless you know the mob doesn't AE. Save it for after an AE hits, then cast it immediately. Don't bother with netherbeast unless you're mythic or something. Armageddon is the best spell to freehand, followed by either aura on single target or Upheaval on AE. Distortion is an ok 3rd choice. Precast temp buffs if you can, then go Tumult/Storm before Arma/Aura before temp-buffs(if not precasted) before dots before nukes. Dissolve is our worst nuke, you are better off using cata/abs even on single targets before dissolve.
