I am leveling a warlock and am wondering where to place my AAs. I have locked my XP and am currently at lvl 12 with 5 unspent AAs. I solo mainly due to my work schedule.

I have seen a lot of good information in this forum regarding the lines that warlocks should take. The consensus appears to be AGI/WIS or STR/AGI for KOS and Hastenings/Explosives for EOF. However, I have not seen any specific information in EQ2flames or the official SOE forums about the order in which AAs should be taken.

I would appreciate any suggestions regarding the order in which AAs should be spent in the various lines. I imagine that other inexperienced warlock players could also benefit from this information.

I did the following when I leveled up.

Put 10 points into the Shield AA. Helped keep me alive and had a bigger impact on my leveling than a few points spent on the other AAs would have.

Finished off the str line. More STR let me carry more in my bags when most gear I could get I was scraping for more INT and barely had any significant amount of STR. The final STR ability, letting you 'force' the next spell to crit, while it may not have a big effect on people with tons of crit, at low levels when you don't have a ton of crit it is a very nice damage boost.

I then started chugging down the WIS line. I liked the +% bonus to your next spell ability.

Finally, I then swapped my points around out of STR and put it into INT/WIS.

As another suggestion. Get yourself some mastercrafted gear. The lv 10 or so +10 int items (hat?) and the lv 20 or so +27 int items (robe?). They have a ton of int on them for that level and you wont need to replace them for a while.

At low lvl start off with Magi Sheilding, max that and then start the STA line. Once you have enough for Manashield, respec out of Magi and put all points in STA for MS.

Then get Focused Casting on the Warlock tree. After that do what you want really.

I tried Enhance Magi's Shielding last night. With 5/10 points, though, it didn't seem to do very much. The ability is passive, so I wouldn't think there would be a clicky to activate it. I was looking in the combat window to see if any damage was being absorbed. However, I did not see any message indicating that it was. Regardless, I ended most fights at 50% health, which was the case before adding points to EMS.

Also, last night I scribed Master I of corrosive blast. Previously, I was Adept XX (can't remember). The increase in my damage output was substantial. I was able to take on orange mobs, which I have not been able to do previously.

Given the above, I am wondering if I may be better served going down the AGI line for increased casting speed and spell reuse and at the same time mastering my primary damage spells. I have had enormous success running my illusionist with the AGI AA line. Although illusionists get spell haste earlier in their AA tree than warlocks do, I think the benefits I've observed with my illusionist should still accrue to my warlock. The warlock's casting times are terrible, so this seems like a good target area for improvement.

recast magi's shielding just to make sure the effect is applied. Also do you have Ward of Sages as well? Dunno if it stacks or not but im sure someone else could verify if it does or not.

Umm, once you've spent points in the Warlock tree, you can't take them out of the warlock tree and put them in the sorceror tree I'm pretty sure, which if I'm reading your post correctly is what you're suggesting.
