what do do about wizards

i didn't look through the entire history of posts so i don't know if this has been discussed or not, but i have a question to throw out there.

so if you have a wizard in your group who happens to be trigger happy with Rays of Disintegration, what the fuck do you do? so you see a macro "inc rays in 5 sec" or whatever, are you supposed to try to count to 5 and stop casting? or do you try to cast quick spells until it goes off. because i never stop casting, so it always fucks me up, and i've noticed whenever this happens i parse significantly lower.

it seems like the spell itself takes 3-4 seconds to cast, not counting whatever it interrupts (and when thats an armageddon that you've freehand sorcery'd right before and rays kicks in at the end thats like 7 secs of not finishing a spell)

even if i try to work around it, i still feel like it's a pain in the ass and ruins my dps, and i've talked to illys who say it screws up their perpetuality too, so i'm wondering what you all do to avoid this problem.

Most Illy's I talk to love the spell personally.

I would just get used to it.

ok but by get used to it do you mean just ignore it and continue whatever i was doing? or try to time it, and if so, how? just asking for suggestions. and it definitely shouldnt be cast at the very end of a fight or during a rare encounter fight IMO

oh well, just trying to maximize dps here and rays seems to lower it especially when it goes off every fight...sorry i asked

You're doing something wrong if Rays is lowering your DPS.

i'd try to talk to him... ive personally stopped using it when the warlock is in my group.. when its me and just an illy ill use it.. or try to lol... but anyways, after getting bitched at by *cough* velizar... its not worth it lol...

If it was like how it was on beta when ROK first came out it would be awsome, it was intrrupt/instant cast, but full cast time for the wizard. I loved this, now its an avoidance i pray don't go off when i'm casting armegedon

i have my wizards spam group with rays in 5 that helps
