Re: TSO AAs
Well, checking on a naked warlock with no AA into base damage and no INT except for bonuses for character advancement - the final AA nuke clearly loses to distortion (2800+ high vs 3200+ high) at equal cast times, not to mention that Distortion has its own speedcast improvement, and you won't be able to use the Plaguebringer every time with FC. So if it isn't upgraded - no point to take it unless you REALLY need to improve spell rotation. I had hoped that the final achievement would be something worthy.

Re: TSO AAs
Question:
IIRC, the warlock and all other class endlines are not all end abilities. In other words, some of them are up to 5 points (i.e. the 3% skills I assume will be 15% with 5 points), but 2 of them are supposed to be 'final' abilities, only available after 10 points are in the line. If it's like EoF AAs, these will take 1 point each.
So...... which abilities are the endline abilities that only have one rank? I would *assume* it's poison mastery and plaguebringer, but I could be wrong.
Plaguebringer is basically same DPS as Distortion, except the lack of casting speed enhancement. I'm really *hoping* this is a blue AOE, it would fill that gap of good damage, medium-recast blue aoes that we have. Cata is great, but Upheval's reuse is just too long... Otherwise it's a little bit 'bleh'. Just like wizards get heat mastery and their final is cold, we get poison mastery and our final is disease... c'mon...

This is the primary thing I picked up on as well. A well timed cycle of wizard abilities, will dominate. Warlocks, on the other hand will have less complexity in their cast order, and as a result have a lower relative gain.
I'd try not to worry about it too much, this information on AA's is still pretty early, and its unfair to the developers to make assumptions on how it will be closer to release.

Whine some more ladies. Wah wah wah we're getting screwed again, oh wait, i'm not getting screwed anymore, so if you aren't happy you either quit the game or stfu and cry elsewhere.
On a serious note, ya the new AAs lack imagination and originality, ya it's the same shit all over again, why did you expect anything different? I'd imagine a 25-30% boost in dps with new AAs once you get maxed out and with the new gear leaning towards 40%+ by the middle of the xpac. Which is pretty much what they did from KoS to EoF. Again nothing new.

I wouldn't worry too much about the AA's yet guys and velizar makes a good point in saying that the AAs are nothing new. Yes, its not as imaginative as it could be, however they will be a DPS increase across the board. I am mostly interested in seeing the new raid content... which is where they can use their imagination.(hopefully, probably not)

avsmw is right, I highly doubt heat mastery will stack with Fireshape.
If you take into consideration the new troub AA's http://www.eq2flames.com/troubadors/32831-tso-aa-s.html, I think warlocks will get a bigger DPS increase with TSO than wizzies.
I think the end ability is retarded and it looks like it will probably never even be worth casting. At least the wizard end spell sucks just as much

Re: TSO AAs
even if there was the people that are in beta wouldnt leak the information unless they honestly didnt care about the NDA
also the patch notes are not visible like the test and live ones by a single url, they post them in the beta forums because there was a link for beta updates long ago. changed it because of that link.

Re: TSO AAs
Fuck AAs, is this Xpac going to be more encounter friendly? Wanna know so I can save $50 bucks if need be.
Regardless of our potential to parse well on singles, my enjoyment for the class was always on the encounters like TnT with 20k parses. RoK fucking sucked for that shit, I shouldn't have to run t7 shit to feel like a god again.
So, is TSO going to bring us some encounter fun, or is it going to bone our class in the ass again like RoK? Hmm?
