Re: Warlock changes in last 7 months
Well, the only thing lost is double broodlings and double netherbeast.
Netherbeast is only single target, so much for that being a problem on encounters. Broodlings is encounter, but they have such short range - and the damage is reduced as proximity of the other mobs increases. Plus any aoe and they die in current form.
Meanwhile, +10% crit damage to all spells, give increased damage to all blue and green aoes on all encounters.
Frankly, I'm happy to put my AA somewhere else other than into broodlings. Only thing I really hope they fix is some way to mitigate the encounter/adds better so all our aoes stop getting such high resists on the adds, which are normally not debuffed.
Which, incidentally, the OP might be interested to know - they have messed with the mobs WIS and mitigation to increase resists. Spell skills are actually worth a little bit now. Undebuffed mobs will give you somewhere around 10%ish resist rates now for yellow mobs, depending on your exact disruption, subjugation, etc. values. This is a downside for all mages, but they did something *similar* to melee. The consensus is that these changes tilted things in favor of melee dps.
