Yah, what I thought was interesting is that our best AA damage spell is DD and the wizzy's best AA damage spell is an AE.

i tried for the entire time i was in beta to get plaguebringer to become an AE. Sent in feedback after feedback about it. but im not dissapointed in it now since in a raid i was hitting 20k with it max...lowest i think was 13k. that was with 16 people in the raid as well.

i think bewilderment is pretty sweet. not only is it a super fast casting time, which is good for when the mob is at like 1%, but more importantly a quick way to drop aggro asap and still do a little damage as well. just wish it dropped hate position to the whole encounter...we would be gods

plaguebringer is what it is, personally i wouldn't cry about getting a nuke that crits 20k, encounter or not. it does seem to get resisted more than any other spells though

sorry to tell you but hail storm is much better
plaguebringer is still a fucking joke while hail storm is just fuking op in comparison , less recast and alot more potential for damage
and with Tempest going down to 24sec duration they got another very powerful dot
if u ask me u got shafted with ur AAs theres noting incredibly awesome imo in the warlock tree and i was just about to betray the wiiz to have a nice dps toon outside raiding with my guild

Actually, the cast time for both spells are the same at the base... The difference here is that plaguebringer will yeild more dps on shorter fights (which seems to be the flavor for RKO and probably TSO).. so in the end of all things, i can see plaguebringer beinging as just as useful as hail storm if not more.


EDIT: judging by the base damage from the OP of this thread on his plaguebringer... i can safely say that this spell will be between ball of magma and bolt of ice as far as damage output (right now BoM and BoI are in the top 3 spells for wizards. There is your comparison.. also, from testing hailstorm, this spell will be top 5 for wizards. I would expect the same for plaguebringer. You can expect 20-35k plaguebringers with crit, debuffs and base dmg modifiers. (maybe even more, who knows how much modifiers we are going to get)
