Default Re: Achievement Spec (DPS)

Thanks for necro post Persii.
I've not long been back in game ~ foolishly tried other games but nothing there satisfied my lust for locking...so yea, back after a couple of yrs away and raiding again these last 5 weeks. Man it's great to be back, sticking around this time for the long haul.

I noticed the AA spec in original post only goes up to 192 AA's, was wondering if anyone's doing anything different with regards to TSO. (raiding only)

I'm finding raiding TSO tough atm (I'm sure that will change with more AA's, better equipment, better spells etc.)

Main concerns...(raiding only)

a) keeping up with wizzies on all the myriad solo targets, my best solo dps so far being a measly 13k

b) survivability ~ dying too quick to aoes POAO (last boss whatever he's called)

I have 186 AA and pushing hard to cap. I am wearing mostly T2 shard armour, have Ethermage Nox circlet and 2 pieces rift set, choker, WDC, TSO signature quest reward cloak and dagger, myth, SMR, belt isn't horrible, trying to get better ears/wrists. No adorns yet.

I have about 9 masters, Cata, Aura of Void, Encase, VC, Acid Storm, Upheaval, Arma. (Acid Master II).

Saltaf, thanks for the AA tree pics, I have the same spec, except I have 5 points in brood (which I don't use atm as my casting speed is still a little slow and TSO raid mobs all do aoes, so they're pointless imho, so respec'ing that out today) was wondering ~ have you got time to update with the full compliment?

Or actually, any advice is welcome.

Please flame if you must ~ eyebrows, apoc, stfu Rav.

Wizzies do more dps then locks(if both are skilled/equal gear level.)
As for surviving; For your racial trats pick max hp, for the shadows line, put 5 in Hearty Constitution, and 5 in Disiciple of Bertoxxulous, and Runic protection. Sure, you may lose some dps, but you're not going to do shit when you're dead going "oh fuck, what if i put points in aa that gives hp......"
Dump acid m2 and pick up absolution, now.

If you need other questions asked, I'll be around in game or others I'm sure can help...

Edit - Get both your rings hp adorned, same with shoulders.
Wrists - 77 vs slashing/piercing/crushing.

Thanks for reply.

I know wizzies do more dps on solo targets, my raiding guild (and I'm guessing all raiding guilds) expect my dps to be min 10% behind them, again solo target ofc.

Absolution: damage per time it takes to cast = /guildremove Ravanous

(I used to have at MII but I hardly ever use it in TSO raids, only if everything is on CD.)

Thanks for the hp tips tho.

You're part right about absolution being a bit crappy on singles even with miffical. Then again, once you get 4 pieces of set together, it might be an idea to take another look at it. Lots of casting haste helps as well :P

i play on pvp and hav manasheild on a AA mirror. Has anyone experimented with dropping the str line for STA ??

the damage shield is kinda nice when faced by multi AE's, and the physical miti is basically a extra chest piece per point.

Cast buffs are nice for ae fights when not all mobs are debuffed.
and i find crit easy to cap atm with only 5 patterns on farm, and no TSO raid zones cleared.

I've been meaning to try it for the heavy damage fights, Anashti/health/Disease etc since I'm usually around 140 +/- 5 crit on raids.
Did try the enhanced shroud, and quite frankly its badass.
