yeah personally i'm feeling that the Arcane Barrier upgrades will be worth more as a whole than the points in dissolve as thunderclap replaced it in my rotation for now. I am curious to have a play with Sorcerer's Shielding though, those points could help with the ae's floating around and choker damage in the meantime, anyone have any thoughts on it?

thunderclap should be used everytime it is up IMO and not just take the place of dissolve which was never/rarely used. short cast, short recast and decent damage. probably one of the most efficient spells we have now

I put it where dissolve was (my 1 key) which previously was not getting much use, and is now hit every 10 seconds or so.

aye sry i mean it replaced the hotkey slot that dissolve took up

not that space in the rotation as i only used dissolve for a filler, now thunderclap is built firmly into the rotation adn happily racking up the numbers

I haven't gotten that line as of yet. So I am wondering if disolve and thunderclap are on the same timer.

With Dissolve I always feel like I'm wasting time/lowering DPS by casting it except for the very rare point where nothing is close to being up again for recast(end of a second or third Focused Casting cycle sometimes in an encounter). I'm actually using Bewilderment and Thunderclap back to back where I was using Dissolve before.

This could mostly be due to me not having as much casting speed from gear as I'd like, aka little to none currently, but Thunderclap I am always casting due to the efficiency of damage/cast speed it has compared to any of our other "quick" cast spells.

Hell my current rotation has me going Acid => Thunderclap => Absolution and feels like it is working rather nicely, some sustained DPS from Acid then a small Burst from Thunderclap right before winding up what feels to me a forever and a day cast speed Absolution.

Thunderclap should be used early and often... especially when 100% proc buffs are running. Also a very good spell to use when re-positioning. If there is an encounter that you have to run around in, time it so it will be ready for your move... that way that time is not downtime.

Really can't argue a 5k hit in .3s is what it comes down to. If only you were a sexy wizard and could see thunderclap double attack!
