Warlocks are tier 1 top notch ranged dps. They basically match wizards on ZW give or take a little (wizards tend to have small advanage single target, walocks on groups), and have several interesting abilities that make them desireable beyond pure dps.

While there is no class that is strictly 'needed' in eq2, warlocks well played are desired for their top notch dps, especially in zones with encounter mobs like befallen and veksar.

I what to thank you all for the reply and I what you all to now I realy do like playing a Warlock .. and I read a lot of your post and try some of the things you all say and it helps me out a lot.. Thank you.

it is true they arent needed just like wizzys are not needed.. why take either when you could have a buffer such as a coercer who does teir 1 dps as well.
