Re: New Gear Thread
Um
Sorcs can't use the nuetral robe
Why would you wear the good avatar pants over our tso pants which may and probably will take the 6 set bonus away... Sure the tso robe, which sucks why do we need 15% base to absolution when its capped with myth clicky and damn near capped without it, probably is for some just throwing a rationalzation
If you're going to replace the BBob with the ring of tormenting.. don't.
Looking at some of our parses from our conj and it doesnt even get close
omgomgomgomg but its a conj
We cast slower/less hits = less procs.
And quite frankly, we don't get templars as the mage healers very often so don't rely on blessing.
But, rocking BBob and ring of tormenting = win.

Plague neck - 15
dragonscale cloak - 5%
Innoruk - 10%
dark orb - 10%
arcane symbol - 15%
anashti belt - 12%
5 set bonus - 5%
set gear includes as much as - 4%
set shoulders - 12%
AA - 4%
robe - total of 25%
So if all procs were up you would be at 113%. But well before you hit 113% your spells with special bonuses from AA/gear would cap out, also the fact your mythical in some situations throws 30% at some of your spells, in that situation they'll be capped once you reach 70% base from your gear. But all those new TSO AA's that gave us 10% here or 10% there just shave off a chunk of base dmg from gear required to cap em, so most definetly with the right gear the Sol Ro charm is looking like a really good mage option. But this avatar gear opens up a lot of new situational things, like replacing sole crit/base dmg items with other types of items.
A good group setup even gives the troub 10% and an illys DR is up quite a bit so thats another 20% base total just from slick mage groups.
Anyhow, thats the point of using 2 charms from 2 different sets =)
ps. The great persiius though has informed me I should take a second look at Anashti, though I still hold my original stance! <3
I don't have all these charms tho, i wanna see more parses with Anashtis and Fears. From what i've seen fear do its pretty crazy.

Re: New Gear Thread
bert + sul charm is the best period for single target stuff as a warlock. i dunno what u guys are doing to make it parse so low, but maybe you need to step the fuck up and dps more. single target sol ro charm avgs around 300-350 dps on the trash in palace, sul charm did 865 for other sorc. i agree with dakkota i would prolly take fear over sul for the reuse bc im a reuse whore but it would be only for reuse on gear since all my spells are capped pretty much anyways. I agree it is all personal preference but the hate charm is really pointless for the high end raiding ppl, you dont need base damage soon. I dunno about the rest of you, but single target dps is more important to me then aoe bc aoe dps is ez mode as a lock and u shouldnt lose a parse even nakked. that is all
Edit: just look at the logs when calaglin had the fear charm and look what it did on singles dakkota =)

Re: New Gear Thread
Thanks for the update on the Sul charm, Persi.. And for the record, we might not be fast casting mages, but we do have some abilities that we can chain that cast pretty quickly.. IE: Bewilderment, Ro's Coil, Thunderclap, Solar Flare, Ice Spears..come to mind. (Speaking from the Wizards side of the pond)

Re: New Gear Thread
Sul charm was doing less dps than my Ro charm on palace trash for our other wizard and my zw dps was lower than his (just to let you know he doesn't suck ). So I wouldn't be so sure about it as a wizard.

Re: New Gear Thread
avatar robe, hate/sul charms, 6 set, mayong orb. He doesn't have mishief bracelet and everything else is same to my gear.
PS From my last zw Ro charm did 500 dps for me, thats without Bert charm (triggers), without templar/dirge triggers and without loads of base damage you guys have.

Re: New Gear Thread
For Dakk/Stiv,
I didn't post the parse, but thule charm did 450 dps on palace trash for me two nights ago. raidwide was 215k, i was at 18k zw. On the large group I did 39k, 6k of it was from the thule charm.
IMO: Thule + Bertox ftw for wizards, although Ro is a beast of a charm. WTB Bertox/Ro charms

Re: New Gear Thread
Now that im pretty sure disease cloud stacks right, if you don't need base dmg from innoruk thule/bertoxx are pretty win. Tho if you even furthurmore dont need MORE base i spose popping in bertoxx + flame is pretty nice. Just theres so much aoe encounters, or heavy aoe adds with lots of mobs that I wouldn't feel the need to even switch back to a single target proc. I mean for for single target like trash, if your in a guild getting avatar charms how long does the last 20% really hang? I'd spoes its just as good as death chimes, but I never had any so I don't know the ways!
Of course i use the same philosophy that another Lock said, they'd rather focus on boosting their single target dps, i guess thats my theory for the aoe dps. BUt man those aoe procs just dominate.

Re: New Gear Thread
Yah, I wish I had Ro's charm because it looks like a beast on AE fights.
Would like to try out the Ro/Thule combo on Gynok (AE fights) and then Thule/Bertox for single target fights. Oh well, I'll leave the scouts to the Anasthi charm for the time being and keep my Inoruuk/Thule combo until I can bid on evil charms again .
