I think the wizards you play with, suck. <3

Wizard wtfpwn you on single target...

Warlock wtfpwn you on encounter/ae fights...

Depending on the gear and the skill of the player...warlocks can keep up with wizards on single target mobs...and wizards can keep up warlocks on encounter fights...all to a degree.

I am currently working on a warlock alt...I may be biased...but Wizard > Warlock in my book any day...but omg do I love my warlock on encounter fights and pulling a zone and ae'ing the mobs to death...

So totally up to you if you want to betray to warlock...lose the gear and masters you do have...

Its all in what will bring you joy in the game..

The 3 best sorc's ive raided with are locks. They made the wizards they were raiding with seem like a wasted raid spot. But if the op is getting asked to betray then its prolly because he sucks. So best option for him is to go play hello kitty or something like that.

Wizards have a more active WW chat channel, warlocks have cooler looking set gear. As for dps, you're either good or you suck, neither class is gonna make you better or worse.

Unless the warlock sucks, i disagree wizards can keep up with warlocks on aoe fights. The only way would be if the wizard had the sol ro charm and the warlock didn't.
Equal gear, TC on wizard, UT on warlock, they would parse about the same on single target, granted the wizard has a slight advantage.
Blowing shit up has always been way more fun on a warlock overall for someone like me who has played both.

If both classes stay up long enough, the warlock will win the AOe fight most of the time. If both classes have everything up, the wizard will win the single target fight most of the time.

As long as the encounter has more than 3 mobs. Fission DA on 3 mobs makes warlocks cry.

I have been both classes. The wizard has been the most versatile in every expansion released. If you have a mastered out wizard, I would suggest leveling up a warlock. It's pretty easy to level toons at this point in the game. I don't think your guilds progression in this expansion would hinge on them not having a warlock. So I am not sure the value of doing that for your guild. If that is the basis behind your guild leader asking you to do that.

I didn't say a regular fission doesn't pwn a warlock, just saying the double makes you cry. Wheres pyrotesss to set me straight.
