Wizard vs. Warlock

Hey all.

Today my Guildleader turned to me asking if i wanted to Betray from my Wiz and do a Lock instead, cause we need one in guild. So now i turn to you guys'n gals to hear your opinion about it, wether to do it or not.

What is the upsides and what is the downsides of it.

Been searching the forum but the only posts i found about it was close to a year old and imagine something has changed in the time passed..

Looking forward to see some constructive replies.

The upside - you can beat a wizard on big aoe mobs. The downside - you're a warlock.

just play which ever u enjoy, if u like raping single target and big nukes play a wizard, if u want to destroy group stuff play a warlock. i play a warlock bc i suck as a wizard lol

Pers, I can't imagine how it is possible to suck as a wizard, especially for you lol. Easiest class to play in this game imho!

Warlocks are the kings of aoe dps. Wizards are just another high dpsing single target class with some nice aoe dmg if needed.

Be something specialized or be something common?

Wizards bring more to their group than a warlock does however... often making them more wanted.

... that is until you come to a zone that has lots of groups of 3+ mobs and people laugh at how much dmg you are doing as a warlock and loving their group setup because of it.

That's what I would say also..What Saltaf said. It's one mob aoe's with a wizzy or multiple mob aoe's with a lock.. You've got to decide what you enjoy playing with...

Maybe im being biased but im not seeing an Wizzys "raping single target" no more than i am. I've been able to hang with most, if not all wizzys ive played with since getting my mythical back many months ago. Wizzys are just a bit more /easymode to learn. Betray to a lock, beat the wiz in your guild on single target, and rape on aoe fights. Thats all....
