Hello everyone .. I just hit 80 and am gearing myself up .. I saw alot of really geared Wizards and Warlocks wearing the void touch legendary cloak . Is there a reason to the choice ? I know there is caps to everying and stuff just wondering whats the reason..

b/c crit bonus is the only stat not capped? (apart from base damage..for non-avatar geared toons)

To actually answer your question - because avatar raiding sorcerers can be capped on base somewhat easy, thus they see no need(nor they should) to use the 72mc, 2% base or white dragonscale(5% proc base) cloak.
Most just prefer the static 2% damage crit and crit bonus rather then a 5% base proc.
Then again crit bonus(almost positive caps at 50) is easy to get for us(assuming you can kill gynok/myznak/etc.)

I have the cloak of unrest .. love the proc
Have had it since i was 70.

Been trying to find an upgrade to it for a while and not found one yet. Our raiding is still in VP and definitely not on farm status.

Since I am probably very far from capping anything , any suggestions on what is actually obtainable to replace it ?

since were on the subject of cloaks what do you guys think about byzola's ragged cloak of.... i cant remember. do you think that effect with the 10% cast, reuse and crit would be worth gettin rid of say the white dragon scale?

I ran it on like 4 different mage toons and you know what, each time I got it the first run, and I had at least 3 ppl rolling it each time.
