Default Re: Nether Void/Netherealm

this bug is nothing compared to T6 that caused Warlocks to basically get instant aggro and do 15-20k parses

If you can parse well without a bugged spell, what's the point of having a bugged spell? to do 1-2k more?
Cool I guess, but I see no benefit from it.

How do you see no benefit from parsing higher?

Even if a shitty warlock throws up a decent parse, you will still beat him because you are the better warlock.

No reason to complain if you are the better player.

I never claimed that you couldn't. You are obviously a good player, just take advantage of the situation while it presents itself.

Eh fair enough and all but I was just never a big fan of bad warlocks(not implying you) can have a bugged spell and think they are oh so good. I mean, reality will hit eventually when the spell gets fixed and all.

Default Re: Nether Void/Netherealm

Basically the Aura of Void and Netherealm effects are unlimited in the number of times an effect can proc, assuming that the incoming damage that causes the proc happens at the same moment. For that reason if Broodlings proc on a mob while the Aura of Void/Netherealm effects are on them you get a lot of procs because a lot of things happen at the same instant.

I'm not entirely sure why but when Acid Storm or Dark Broodlings start up they aoe as an unnamed entity, when acid storm starts up everything around it is hit by two "Acid Burn" (In contrast to the normal "Players Acid Storm Cells Acid Burn". I assume this is because this damage is occuring at the same moment as the entity (acid storm cell or Broodling) is being spawned and therefore does not exist at the moment of damage application, causing the spot for the entity name "Player's Acid Storm Cell" in the chain to be left null.

I also get 8 "Acid Spray" occurring when my Broodlings pop, I don't have the myth on my warlock alt but assume that more broodlings = more Acid Spray on startup (16? or 14?), which is why you get that massive damage spike as the check for how many procs remaining on Netherealm and Aura of Void seems to occur after all of those procs. I assume it's a streamlining measure to reduce server load (rather than checking for remaining procs after every single application of damage it either checks at set time intervals or after every time instance of damage being applied).

I dunno why it is 8 acid sprays that get applied when Broodlings pop though, I would have expected it to be a multiple of 3.

Even though it can produce a lot of damage in a moment it takes a fair amount of preperation time and luck to pull off against anything other than a training dummy, so it's less useful than it first sounds.
