I have a question for some of you experienced warlocks about the proc you are getting from nether void. I have recently been working on my parses with an 80 warlock alt, and that has meant a lot of time on the training dummy figuring out my best cast order.

What I've noticed is, at times, and it seems pretty random, Netherealm's Nether Void procs like 20 times at once, spiking my dps up huge, and killing half the dummy in one shot. But other times it will hit what seems normally...and I'm thinking perhaps I don't understand this well enough...

Is it just being buggy, or are there ways to get netherealm to proc like crazy like that? I've tried it with the exact same cast orders trying to do it exactly the same, and it seems to happen one time, but not the next, very hard to understand, considering when it occurs my parse before the training dummy is dead is up to 2k higher...

Once it even did it with Aura of Void...I cast it once, and it procced 20 times, and I KNOW that was buggy, I ended up beating the dummy down at like 20k (and this is an ungeared alt) but that was ONLY once this Nether Void thing is happening consistently

Thought, comments? Is this the secret to hot warlock dps?

I'd like to point out...been further testing this and it seems to happen more often when my pet spells get cast (Dark Infestation and Acid Storm). Seems like if the broodlings spawn and acid storm hits, and I have DoTs or anything hitting as well...when they flukily time together to hit the mob at all the same time...all 3 broodlings spraying and DoTs ticking and such...Nether Void is proccing more than the 1 time allowed occurence...does NOT seem to happen with the pets not up though

That would be the bug.
Don't know why exactly swarm pets are bugging Aura/nether but its happening so people are getting retarded amounts of dps even though they shouldn't be.

Ok great thanks for the info, was kind of hoping I wasn't that dumb of a reader that I was questioning understanding how Netherealm was supposed to work, really thought that I was missing something there. Christ I've had 10 seconds on a training dummy where I got it to proc 27 times for 8k dps during those 10 seconds. JUST nether void, on single target.

Kind of glad it's just a bug, though, but examining some of those parse threads that people posted? Been proccing too much on occassion for others, too, I see (at least when posting the single target mobs where it's easier to tell)
