TSO cast order

Lock with 200aa's. I have 3 pieces of the TSO raid set and the rest is the t3 from WOE.

I was recently running WOE and on singles mobs I usually parse around 7.5k and on groups 10k+.

There was another lock in the same group with no TSO raid gear and almost all t2 gear. He was beating me on the parse. He was hitting 11k on singles and 12k+ on groups.

With me having better gear and 200aa's, (I don't know how many aa's he had) I thought I would parse better than him. So I think the problem is my cast order. Is there a optimal cast order for single target mobs? and if you have one for AOE's?

Pressing the right buttons at the right time > pressing an order of buttons

Descending order your spells by (Average Total Damage)/(Cast Time + Recovery).

Recovery defaults to 0.50.

Remember to use the buffs you normally get in raid, or it'll skew your results. k bai.

I have looked at that tread several times in the past before posting this. My question on that post is its based on someone being lvl 74. Does that order still hold true even at 80 and with 200aa's? The cast order listed there is my cast order for single target mobs.

Lazzy, no just trying to explore every option to make myself a better player. Reading that post it wasn't clear to me if that is truely still the best order.

if you read in there, they were the cast orders used at the time by myself and berrbe. Two solid lvl 80 warlocks.

try them out

mine has changed a little but nothing i feel like posting right now

I went back to the training dummy again and played with the cast order again. I am wondering if I am still doing something wrong.

With this cast order:

Netherealm
Gift
Acid storm(when mob is coming)
Vacuum field
Aura
acid
Armageddon(do it 3rd since acid/aura have fast cast and hopefully debuffs will be applied by then!)
Distortion
Acid again
Vacuum chamber
Absolution
Flames
encase

This parse me about 4.1k.

With this cast order:
Netherealm
gift
acid storm
Focus casting
vacuum field
free hand apocalypse
acid
absolution
distortion
acid
thunderclap
bewilderment
plaguebringer
acid

where Casting
apoc>absolution>acid>distortion>plaguebringer ect...

with this order I am parsing 5k.

With your order is the difference in the dps the procs you will get from POM and Potm and other buffs that you wouldn't normaly get on the training dummy? Ie acid is up more and would cause POM and Potm to proc more?

Try that. (Wont see much of an increase on a dummy, but you will on raids)

Hey Just a suggestion it may be worth posting and then sticking Warlock cast order on the top.

We get this every so often it may reduce the amount of posts we get on this topic.

Also to the OP buffs also play a huge rol in DPS such and TC & UT, further Jesters and Alacrity also increase the parse. Was he in the same group as you etc.

Also depends on the raid dps as well, the faster the mob dies the more you have to change your spell order to accomodate.

Like the change in trash in palace means a change in spell order!
