I doubt they'll do any upgrading to current Ancient Teachings spells. That would take up more than the 10 minutes of time allocated to Warlocks by the devs. As far as T8 Ancient Teachings Spells, it should be one at 72 and one at 75.

Our lvl 72 AT spell, when cast, will apply a 22-41 poison dmg DoT that will tick once every second for a maximum of 15 secs. During that time, there is an 8% chance that a successful melee attack will proc 'Netherous Void', an aura around the caster that lasts for 20 seconds and adds 37-873 poison dmg to successful hostile spells. It requires 750 power +1 nil crystal to cast, 1 nil crystal to trigger, 1 nil crystal for each proc, and you must have your foot slot empty.

The lvl 75 AT will be a 3k PBAoE Deaggro that evacs all group members when cast.

Wizards will probably get a 360 degree Fusion, lol.

Kidding aside, I wouldn't expect much beyond the standard linear upgrades and 1 or 2 AT's. No new AA lines are expected, so maybe just 50 more to grind, 25 for Sorc, 25 for Warlock lines. Kind of sucks that folks have just spent this expansion raiding for new gear with focus effects that will be for grey spells when the new content is released.

My warlock is only level 32 atm, but I have grouped with and played warlock at 70 (eof beta) and was curious.


I remember in EoF beta Warlocks had a kinda AE manaburn called Cataclysm. Maybe the RoK epic could bring this back in some kinda way?

Would be useless. At least for raiding purposes 1/ no tank in the world could hold agro off so much damage 2/ same reason as wizard manaburn - regening mana from 0 is a lot harder than having a consistent mana regen for longer fights 3/ every plat farming grp with be owning shit with 2-3 warlock bots per group.

1: Yes but anyone who uses Cataclysm anywhere near the start of the fight is either annihilating a heroic mob or just plain stupid. 2: Point one, at least for me, would probably be when I'm at like 50% power I'd use it. Yes it'd be hard to get power back to a reputable amount but that's the point of the spell.


3: Bot groups should never have an epic weapon so I'd hope that point would be defunk but who knows about SOE. Edit: Also remember when manaburn hits a mob they recieve immunity for 30 seconds.



About point one if a warlock is pwning a HEROIC mob with it, who cares he did the EPIC quest for the item.

The only -Burn thats worth in the game is Lifeburn. Manaburn sux, and if that new weapon is associated to some bs Cataclysm this will be the first epic quest line i'll never finish. About point 1/ Whats the use of doing that kinda spell to one single mob as usually named raid encounters with adds the adds are the first to die...Thats what makes classes different, so that 2 of the same don't get the same useless piece of shit ability as Manaburn.

I was merely suggesting. Point taken I realize manaburn sucks.. for pve. In pvp it's quite good since I usually see Wizard and Necro lifeburn and manaburn for an assured death on someone. It NEVER uses all your power and is usually just a finish up kinda deal doing 62% dmg.
