Default Can any raiding warlocks help me with DPS?

Although embarassed to admit it, I'm still working on ways to maximize my raid DPS. Can any raiding warlocks give me hints as to how to maximize my AA spread and perhaps a little about what spells to cast to do better? If you're willing to share this info and know what you parse, please also include that!

Thanks!!!!

the main thing is to make sure your dots are always up.....hit nukes in between.

Your strongest output over cast time is Dark Infestation... if it is up, cast it on the mob. If you a fighting a mob that has an aoe... cast this after the aoe goes off.
Same goes for Netherlord (if the fight will last long enough for the netherlord to unload all his, very slow, damage)

Keep Maelstrom on the mob as much as possible but don't preoverride it when you have direct hits available to cast.

People always say keep your dots up... but remember that scourge has a much faster recast than duration... don't overstack it unless you have freetime w/ nothing to do (very rare unless you are hastenings and have TC).

I generally cast Corrupt Gift alongside netherous for the hell of it out of habit cause I precast them and they have about the same reuse. Don't cast corrupt when you know your about to feed power or something... use it when it pops for the most part but make sure to follow it up with lots of spell casts. Don't stray too much from your normal spell order cause if your prop speced (which is the best choice if you have the proc gear for it) then the duration of corrupt will be longer than you really need to worry about getting tons of spells off.

Don't wait for catalyst to be back up to recast your apoc... use apoc when it's up and then just use the catalyst on void distortion. If apoc is close to coming back up when catalyst comes back then just hold that catalyst for your apoc.

Aura of Nihilty every time it's up with only DI and Netherlord preceeding it in importance.

To start a burn, precast Netherous Realm and Corrupt Gift, cast maelstrom, DI, Netherlord, aura of nihilty, war pyre, Scourge, catalyst-apoc and rotate thru ur stuff from there.

I know i jumped around a bit... if you have any questions just ask.

For AA's, I think the combinations were covered well in the Warlock AA Thread.

Unfortunately I haven't had any recent EoF raids with my warlock. On Agi/Wis & Hastenings/Prop I hit 2k zonewide on labs/lyceum, unbuffed. My gear is pretty sad, but all masters. Like Jezia's advice, I kept most of the dots up - especially broodlings, and avoided Soul Blister. Not sure what other kind of specifics you're looking for?

With hastenings and propagation I was doing 2600-3100dps single target w/ Troub + vim + TC with that sort of spell order /shrug.
Prolly higher now with gear differences but i'm prop/explosions for avatars/cmayong.
My best named parse being 3800 on sarik the fang which i completely noobed up... shoulda been 4500-5000 but the paly didn't have amends on me until 50% of the mobs health and i kept having to deaggro early on and ran outa power toward the end cause i had deaggro gear on over power gear cause of it.

What Jezia said. He trained me and I consistently parse in top 3 in my guild raids.

I never cast Aura of Nih. with spells as if I was trying to trigger it, because it triggers off of anyone else's spells in the raid that hits the mob, it's basically a super fast dot, but definately want to keep Netheros up from beginning to end.. as well as Dark Infestation.

Also.. short terms.. cycle them as much as you can. Don't save them to "wait for the perfect time to use them". EVERY time is the perfect time to use them.

So your saying Aura of Nihility is not worth casting?

If you cast it and someone else procs it, do they get the dps count or do you? If they do I'm wasting time lol
