    Default Champion Beastmaster?

I am not very familiar with the champion soul, is Champ/BM really the best dps build? I really dont like it, but people start to get idiotic and expect every warrior dps to be that spec. I would like to know if they are right or be confident in shutting them up.

Any insight? Most people seem to not be able to press 8 buttons in the correct order, soi am always double the dps with my riftblade than any other dps, so i dont have ANY useful comparison on warriors.

I run 32BM, 30 Champ, 4 Para and do ~900-1000 single target DPS, with the following stats-

As RB, with the same stats (minus self buffs from BM), I do about 450-500 DPS.

How do you play that spec?

I tried alternating strike like iron and the DoT finisher with powerstrike/waterfall spam and keeping Flesh Rip and Fierce Strike up and alternating Punishing Blow and the DoT finisher while keeping Flesh Rip, Fierce Strike and Debilitating Strike up, my tests were inconclusive , but the first option did require less attention for me.

A buddy and I were literally just talking about this last night. We came to the consensus that this spec would be pretty good as far as Champ/BM goes : Soul Tree Calculator: Beastmaster (32) / Champion (28) / Paragon (6) :: Rift: Planes of Telara :: ZAM

A lot of people put too much stock in Titan's Strike imo. For a finisher that's on a 1 min cooldown, it really isn't any better than Feral Sweep, which you get for putting 26 points in BM. TS is decent for the PVP lulz, but that's about it.

Diversion Strike is pretty good, 10 % crit for the next 10 seconds will allow you to pretty much go through your rotation once or twice with the extra crit. That's the 32 point ability from BM

We argued for a little while over the Way of the River vs. Stormblade, but his weapon, which had a max weapon dmg of like 130 or 140, would proc a DoT that did about 25 or 30 damage every second for 6 seconds. And it only procs on a crit, with you being able to put points in a talent that gives like a 15 % chance for it to proc from regular hits. IMO, the 3 % crit from Way of the River is better, but we didn't have time to parse anything out.

There's tons of DPS goodies from the BM tree, not to mention the extra DPS from your pet. Champ/BM isn't just a DPS warrior spec tho. You bring a decent bit of utility to the group as well. If the tank is having trouble taking hits, you can put up your pet's defensive stance for the 10 % armor, or for extra DPS, you can put up the offensive stance for the 5 % damage. Bonds are nice too.

i dont see the need to spec for hit, i never ever miss with just the hit from items. Never.
And i would put the 3 Bloodthist points into Energy Regen.
And melee deflect on demand is better than 1% parry.

I am interested in a short description how the experienced BM/champ people ended up playing it.

I'm not talking about expert dungeons, I'm talking about raiding, so yes, the hit is needed. Also melee deflect? That's up to you, I was just burning points.

I didn't say it was a perfect spec, just how I would do it.

Hmm, this seems like an interesting build, going to give it a try, now just to work out a good rotation, couple questions,

Backhanded Blow? When to use? On cooldown? When high energy and can afford it? Not at all? I've noticed its pretty taxing with its high energy cost combined with being off the gcd.

Slashing Strike? Keep up this bleed effect even in single target scenarios?

Champ reactives? Should all of these be used when possible? Or is better to conserve the energy they would use for BM abilities instead?

Seeing you've got the points in para, I'm assuming Strike Like Iron is used, so just alternate between it and Tearing Slash? Or throw in Feral Sweep as well? (Again not sure here if the cost of an AoE move such as this would be worth the extra bleed damage.)

What about Deathblow? Is it worth it when usable, or will the bleed finishers still put out more DPS? Assuming you'll get the full duration.

Do you try to put up all the DoTs as soon as they expire or do you just stick them in a macro and clip/overwrite previous ones.
