    So, I'm starting to get a little frustrated with my warrior tank.

    I'm sitting at around 7900 health, self buffed, enough armor to get 51% physical reduction, 57 toughness, about 5% dodge and parry, and 40% block.

    I ran expert lantern hook on Sunday with a few friends, an Assassin, Necrolock, Bard, and Sentinel. The person who plays the sentinel stated that I was "taking a lot of damage", upon checking ACT, I saw about 700-750 incoming DPS, which was somewhat mitigated by my personal 100-130 hps.

    Not having any base point to compare to, I somewhat took what she said at face value. However, the Necrolock in Chloro spec can usually keep me up with little to no problems.

    In other groups, PUGs, it seems to be 50/50 whether or not the healer can actually keep me up; Which, if DPS is any indication, is a pretty good success rate.

    I'm not sure if it's my spec, which is admittedly not as defensive as it could be, or my gear, or the healer. Part of me would like to think that it's the healers (I don't want to be "a bad"), but the another part doesn't want half of my groups to be crippled so badly that we can't get through it.

    Move the five points in Small Arms Specialization to the Armor buff? Can't pass up 10% armor increase.

    the problem you are having is probably you lack of magic resist. there is a lot magic damage in that zone and if you aren't spec'd VK you are not ready for magic damage.

    i can confirm this, on all fronts kinda. if you take considerably more damage on something and can eliminate a slacking healer then its VERY likely to be spell damage of some kind. sadly this does also apply to justicars.

    as a warrior, you can, as suggested, switch to a voidknight spec, that makes you easier to heal against spell damage.
    as a justicar, you kinda have to live with it.

    That's fair, I can see that. I've been looking at, but kind of putting off making a Void Knight build, I'll throw one together tonight and see how well that works. Thanks for the suggestions.

    WTF! You fucking KNOW it is the healers. When the chloro keeps you up with just me bard 'healing', and we can do shit, yet when we have some worthless pug asshole pathetic cleric, we can't get shit done. I mean, come on, the answer is obvious!

    Besides, last night we had like no dps, either. Not once chloro boy had to become chloro boy

    Chloros can be amazing healers, but i gotta say, your spec is garbage imo.I mean whats with all the + hit and offensive talents? If you just gotta take Reaver (personal least favorite tank soul) Then Try something like this. Soul Tree Calculator: Paladin (32) / Reaver (18) / Warlord (16) :: Rift :: ZAM More defensive, better threat, and with out all those wasted + damage talents. That spec will server you well for t1 including bosses as well as T2 trash just learning the pulls.

    My primary tanking build doesn't include Reaver(OMG no reaver maddness) Mostly because I love Impassible Guard. Build was better before Tip the Balance nerf but its still solid. At 44 IG is just a great temp to have, it will block from all directions and block spells. I also use it with imposing for easy mode hate on pack encounters when grouped with high dps mages. Build has Maxed war Auras for high hp because no one plays archon in 5 mans and love my HPs. This build is a little limited on ranged aggro so its better after you have learned the pulls in the zone your doing. Build is a monster for survival and will keep you at 1-1.5(heals+bard) healers for everything but the hardest hitting T2 bosses. I personally only use VK if I'm just getting pummeled by both magic and melee. I cant stand spamming pact conversion to keep up ravaging def/str when i could use the combo points in better ways.

    The spec was more of a "growing" one than a planned one. During leveling, I had issues where quests were out leveling me slightly, that's where I took the +hit (except for the +5% hit/block which I took right away because I wasn't high enough for the defensive one).

    All of the +offensive skills were before the DoT and Balance of Power nerf and helped healing whenever I was solo/small group. I just didn't have problems until a few nights ago, so didn't think to revisit the spec at all.

    I used to play Reaver/Pally/Warlord similar to the one Ballads posted. When I moved to do experts I actually changed it and went Warlord main. It meant I was on 8.3k hp when I did my first expert and had around 55% mitigation.

    I like the power regen because my old build was constantly out. I like the healing of 25% of a crit hit too - healers can usually keep a tank alive against sustained DPS, it is spike damage that is the killer, the healing when recieving a crit helps mitigate that.

    I actually have another build I am working on which only uses 6 Reaver and gives me 32 in the Pally tree. After the nerf of Plaguebringer+DoTs I am not feeling the love as I once did so am looking for alternative ways for AOE aggro.

    Regardless of build my cleric is always telling me I take a lot of damage - but then its an expert, that's what happens, he is able to keep me alive so it cannot be all that bad
