32 warlord is an awesome build, definitely try it if you haven't. I run 32 warlord / 21 reaver / 13 paladin mostly, but the VK one ballads posted above is better for defense.

Thanks for posting your build, next time I pull aggro I'll direct them to your build.

One quick point, I'm not sure if there are tertiary benefits to the abilities but entrance and battle has stacking issues with other abilities.

Entrench doesn't stack with Motif of Tenacity and battle doesn't stack with motif of bravery in bard. I'm not sure about the adding hate side, but on the buff side they aren't required.

They still add hate, and there is a bonus for the warlord only that you still get. Not ideal, but it is something.

I feel way too many of the points in warlord are wasted to justify it as a primary soul. None of the apsects stack and none of the calls stack. All you are basicly getting from that tree is spotters which is only 2 points invested, and the commands which are at 26 and 31/32 which seems like a crazy amount of wasted points inbetween.

Except all the passives you gain on the way to 32. 10% Armor,5% dodge,5%block,6% healing, and Power return.
Calls vrs other buffs - Tho entrench and battle dont stack with bards they dont knock down his 5% stat bonus. The extra 3% DR makes entrench worth casting. Battles extra AP is kinda meh but as a blue AE taunt i dont have to target a mob or overwrite my 3 point spotters is nice. Assault command is better cast by the warlord so the archon can use his charge to cast power drain.
Also Rallying command is currently bugged and ignores the immunity to it making it a every 2 minute buff. 32 warlord ATM is the goto spec for tanking anything besides Greenscale, hearld, plutonis, Alsbeth, and the boss of the 10 man (urlrurlrur w/e.) For those bosses go with either of these builds.

    Or http://rift.zam.com/en/stc.html?t=1c...c0aszV.v0Rh00V
The second one is the best mitigation overall but the 51 VK offers decent Magic resist, good CDs and maintains spotters/BA for aggro.

These two can easily be gotten as a third soul. If you're tellng me that all you are gaining for 22 points is dodge and a small buff to healing, and a couple spells that can only be used once a fight for a very short time, that seems pretty horrible to me.

One thing I've noticed from looking at parses in raids is warlords do take more damage then other variations of tanks. With that being said, I also think warlords are the best tanks in game atm.

Sure there are certain mobs which hit the MT very hard, and for those you can switch into other builds. However, it's the extras that warlord brings that pulls them ahead. Better aggro, spotter's orders and raid buffs.

In most encounters taking more damage isn't really an issue tbh. A warlord will raise raid dps by more then having an archon or bard. Except on melee heavy mobs, it's warlord that makes warriors the alpha raid tank in rift. Without warlord you would probably be better off with a rogue tank in most encounters.

It also might be who I play with, but other warrior builds seem to have aggro issues making the raid dps difference between warlord and non-warlord builds even greater. This is my perspective at least as a dps and rogue tank. It can be aggrivating when a dps is blamed for pulling aggro when the tank could be using another build with greater hate. I also don't have single target hate issues as a rogue... ever.
