Default At what point is BOE..BOBlah?

At what point do you see +Spell Damage(total) as not as valuable as going with another option such as procs/crits etc?

This is kinda off topic as far as directly comparing
Base Damage/Casting Speed/Spell Crit/BoE/Reuse etc so I didn't post in that thread.

Pretty much at any point. With the Kunark itemisation, you're going to see BoE at the cap for most spells without trying. Crits, however, are never going to be at 100%, same with spell haste, base damage and reuse. I always pick any other option (apart from FT roffle) over BoE these days. Even thought the maths work out against it, I'd pick the Cloak of Riliss with its 10 BoE and 1% crit chance over the Cloak of the Burning Prince.

well if you really wanted to forsake everything else you could probably get pretty close to 100% crit

You can get 100% crit, there is no maybe about this.

Boe is useful for us to about 1k before you'll start losing benefit from base. However when you consider all things you would probably gain full benefit from anywheres up to about 1.5k

Fuck both of those cloaks the mastercrafted one gives 2% base damage increase and that is sexy as hell for a crafted cloak from one of the cheaper rares in game.
