Please explain in detail how this works so I can be more effective against wizards in PVP. Right now they are owning me 1 v. 1 on my SK, and there's gotta be some trick I'm missing.

no way an sk is gonna beat a wiz with manashield. But for the details:

Targer: Self
Casting: .80 seconds
Recast 1 minute 21 seconds
Duration: 30 seconds

Effect:
- Damage Recieved Is prevented and drains power instead at the cost of 2 power per 3 points of damage prevented.

So you are saying that with manashield up, I can't damage the wizard, all my damage will just drain his power?

Does that apply to all types of damage, including melee, spell, and c/a?

So all I can do is try and run a wizard out of power?

Does the manashield still work when the wizard is down to zero power?

EDIT: I did kill a wizard like this last night, but only after he owned me on my first attempt. The only reason I won on my second attempt is because my Tinker "death save" procced and healed me so I could keep going.

EDIT 2: I think the winning strat 1 v 1 would be for me to use SK achievement DA, then try and interrupt him with melee dmg while he casts on me while tapping back as much health as possible, then fully unload my spells and c/as on him once his manashield expires.

Not played wizard in pvp or tried the manashield but I would think when he pops it just try to keep autoattack/interupting as much as possible until the 30seconds are up then burst dps open up with everything you got. If I had to guess I would say manaward isn't something you could dispell but I could be wrong, would be an arcane if so.

2) Make him chase you around for ~27 seconds
3) Close gap and smack him

the shield is up for 30 seconds and it converts "ALL" damage to power damage. if you run out of power before the spell expires it still stays up but does not convert damage into power dmage, it just takes your health. Also i believe it can be dispelled since a guildy said he did it to a wizard on PVP.

Try doom judgment/aura/rays whatever it is you got now...that might dispell it.
