T8 robes

Have any of you tested these robes out to see how much benefit each of them give ? Robe of Dark Power from Hoshkar (+125 spell dam and +9 crit) & the Robe of Ancient Terrors from Leviathan (+125 spell and a chance to proc +20% spell dam for 7 sec).

With so many crit items out there (+7 crit shoulders, 2 pieces with +7 crit in the Nexus set etc) I'm thinking the robe from Leviathan would be the way to go, especially with propagation.

Any feedback would be appreciated

precast the sel`nok book + Propagation and the Robe of ancient terrors procs like a mofo, stack with vinewrapped boots.

combined with the unrest wand and im in heaven.

Taking the vwb off asap once i get my vp boots though.

I wont even bid on robe of ancient terrors, because it is too shitty imo. I will just wait for 9 crit robe.

If I didn't have TC im not sure how something can be better than RoA. I don't own one and even TC puts shit like Ball of Magma at 1.55 casting speed or Ice Nova at ~2.2. 9% crit just seems rape considering I have to spend 20 AA points to get 12%

You hit a point where Dark Power > Al'Kabor depending on your other gear and buffs you normally get. If you are sitting at 70%+ casting speed on a constant basis, you'd gain far more from 9 crit and 25 more spell damage then from the 30% extra casting speed that doesn't overwrite itself. Especially when you consider that some of our top dps spells (heatwave and ball of magma) get cast speed from aa's.

that pretty much says it all - i hope that the avatar dropped upgrade to the robe of alkabor (if there is one), would perhaps focus on a lesser amount of spell haste (but permanent) - perhaps around 20-25%, along with some other effects and bonuses.
