Manashield Sucks

Ok finally got manashield last week, when im PVP'ing my mana just goes COMPLETELY gone its such a waste. What the hell do you do with no MANA. Cant sprint or do nothing, sure try to use harvest essence but then what u cant cast anything your dead already. Even if 3 people are on me and i activate it, boom mana gone. Waste of a skill IMO.

o_O i wont say my pvp experience is world wide noticeble, im playing warlock (class wich has no evac, and no, i dont have mechanic) and make general from hunter while soloquesting in rok within two weeks (my guild stopped raid and i've respeced my AA so i wont get ganked too much) - how the hell are you going to pvp without mana shield?

How are you going to surevive a rotation from any dps scout class without it? SOE gave us four good stoneskin items, but without manashild you will die anyway. Thats actually the only way sorcerer is going to be viable in pvp either its a wizard or a warlock... 3-4 sk items + shield, thats it.

And btw... why are you going to fight with three people, unlike warlock you can just evac... three people not only goin to burn your mana, they are going to stifle, stun, daze, interrupt you as hell, dont even hope to cast anything under such pressure, its stupid and most likely hopless... unless you use some sort of miracle. Wich isnt going to help anyway unless they are SO COMPLITLY NOOB.

after all - sorry for my english, not my 1st language. The subject is actually strange because I would never expect someone will actually think seriously about dropping manashield for pvp.

Honestly, I wish a single one of the newer people played a wizard back when there wasnt even a decent or a manashield atall. They played with a tank, or they killed damn fast, do not complain how hard you have it now. You chose to wear cloth, deal with the fact that my steel hurts~

I stopped playing pvp Jan of last year, so my wiz is only 70 (Azhee, Venekor, pre-exodus of everyone to Naggy), however I think you can check his stats and see I *might* know what I'm talking about...

First...if you use manashield before MoF goes off, you're stupid and killing yourself, and you deserve to die. I would also hope you have your aa's specced to maximize things like MoF etc etc for survivability... If I really need to explain this further, delete your wizard and start playing another class.

Second...PvP is about preparedness...if you're not prepared, you lose...you're getting jumped by 3 people? No butterfly totem up? You're not carrying smoke vials, locket of escape (assuming you aren't an exile), and an escape root? Assuming you have NO friends, no guildies, etc on, and you are forced to be out solo, going unprepared is like putting a sign over your head *LOOK, I'M A FREE EASY KILL, GANK ME!!*

Just seems to me you don't evaluate your situation well, are unprepared, and have no pre-determined course of action for whatever situations may arise. Again, I'd re-think your plans of attack or escape, or roll another toon.

hmm...I just know I was bored and spec'd manasheild the other day....dueled our necro about 10 times and never lost even with undead tide all over me while getting feared, lol. Manasheild is a monster against mages, unless an enchanter can just mezz you until they see the icon disapear.
