Wizard Epic Spoiler - Complete Walkthrough (Image Heavy)
As with every other Kunark epic weapon, the wizard version also comes in a Fabled (Heroic) version, and a Mythical (Raid) version. You need to complete the heroic steps before you can start on the raid steps.
FABLED (Heroic): \aITEM -1311819234 1176896923:Dragon's Marrow\/a

MYTHICAL (Raid): \aITEM -1556439464 1176896923:Dragon's Marrow\/a

QUEST 1: Of Fire and Ice
1) Head into Chelsith, and kill (any) trash mobs, until you find “A Dilapidated Journal”. It drops in a “small chest”. This can be obtained solo, simply by root and nuking.
2) Read the Journal to start the quest “Of Fire and Ice”. Note that you need the Koada’dal language and the primer can be picked up from several scribes (if needed).
3) Speak with Cerennhir Aelindel in New Tunaria (-408, 49, -980) to complete the quest and begin the next.
QUEST 2: Of Fire and Ice: A Codex in Crisis
(offered by Cerennhir Aelindel on completion of “Of Fire and Ice”)
1) Receive a “Runed Codex Coffer” from Cerennhir Aelindel.
2) Head into Chardok, and down into the palace area, passed the red gate. You will need help for this step.
3) Look for and kill “a Gorowyn ________” mob types in the palace area. I chose the area located near 835, -30, 207, in either of the two rooms up the stairs (as illustrated below) – where I camped archimages, high priests, knight dragoons, and knight sentinels. Note that you do not have to stay in this room, but I just found it personally easier, since I had a conjuror parked close by for calls. Any Gorowyn type mob from the red gate onwards will work for the updates.
4) Keep killing these mob types until you loot a “Bragallich Tel’llach – Parma”. This is a corpse drop, so be sure to check any corpses.
5) Continue killing “a Gorowyn ________” mob types, until you find the last 3 pieces of the Codex (Curuvar, Aicanaro and Anto). These can be looted in any order, and you may have repeats drop.
6) Once you have all 4 pieces, use the “Runed Codex Coffer” that Cerennhir gave you earlier, to seal the codex within the coffer, and receive a “Sealed Codex Coffer”.
7) Return to Cerennhir Aelindel in New Tunaria (-408, 49, -980) to complete the quest.
QUEST 3: Of Fire and Ice: The Sorcerer-Astronomer
(offered by Cerennhir Aelindel on completion of “Of Fire and Ice: A Codex in Crisis”)
1) Cerennhir asks you to find Jaestin Chaldean. Speak with Jaestin Chaldean inside The Tower of Moon in Maj’dul to complete the quest. He can be found on the top floor of The Tower of Moon (-5, 28, 12).
QUEST 4: Of Fire and Ice: The Flame Disciple’s Ring
(offered by Jaestin Chaldean on completion of “Of Fire and Ice: The Sorcerer-Astronomer”)
1) You are asked to find “Cor Collar ed’Lhach" (Arendahr’s fiery ring). Head up to Skyfire Mountains (in Jarsath Wastes) and keep killing "elder skyfire wyverns” until you get “a tarnished old ring” to drop. They can be found near Veeshan’s Peak around -1540, 205, 965, and the ring itself is a relatively rare corpse drop.
2) Examine the ring, and try to polish it, to receive “a dormant sorcerer’s band”.
3) You are asked to find a way to restore the fiery enchantment to this ring by searching for a powerful follower of Solusek Ro. Return to Cerennhir Aelindel in New Tunaria (-408, 49, -980) and speak with him.
4) Speak with Cerennhir again. He is able to restore some of the enchantment to the ring and hands you “a weakened sorcerer’s band”.
5) Cerennhir asks you to find someone who is capable of fully restoring the divine enchantment to the ring. Head to the Temple of Solusek Ro in Lavastorm, and speak with Maelius Irenaeus (-335, -40, -637 on the balcony) to receive “Cor Collar ed’Lhach”.
Note, that if you are not a follower of Solusek Ro, you will have to fight a level 82 ^^^ heroic Fire Elemental (soloable) upon speaking with Maelius - this, however, allows you to skip "Step 6" of this quest.
6) Return to Jaestin Chaldean on the top floor of The Tower of the Moon and show him the ring to complete the quest.
QUEST 5: Of Fire and Ice: Band of the Frost Maiden
(offered by Jaestin Chaldean on completion of “Of Fire and Ice: The Flame Disciple’s Ring)
1) You are tasked with finding “Cor Per’Edhel ed’Hegel” (Isilwen’s lost ring).
2) Examine “a pile of rubble” at 1365, 384, -792 in the tundra beast caves of Kylong Plains (Ryjesium Peaks) to spawn Silverpaw (level 80 ^^^ heroic). Kill him to receive the ring. He spawns on top of you and attacks straight away, but can be rooted – if you die, just revive and run back (if you are fast enough, he should not have despawned).
3) Examine the ring, and try cleaning it to receive “a faintly glowing sorcerer’s band”.
4) You are asked to find a means of bestowing an enchantment on this second ring. Head to Everfrost, and speak with Lianashanai Nadeau at 513, -34, -1562 (near Permafrost).
5) Before she restores the enchantment, she asks you to pay tribute to all three members of the Triumvirate of Water, by visiting several statues erected in their honor.
6) The statue of E’Ci, The Wintry Guardian, may be found in Kylong Plains, west of the Dreg’s Landing docks, at 1518, -18, -24. Note that clicking this statue will spawn a heroic group of Yha-lei desecraters, but you do not need to kill them for the update.
7) The statue of Tarew Marr, The Fathom Lord, may be found in Thundering Steppes at 442, -78, 1435.
8) The statue of Povar, The Veiled One, may be found in Loping Plains in the water off of Timorous Maw, at 193, -29, 556.
9) Return to Lianashanai Nadeau in Everfrost at 513, -34, -1562. She enchants your second ring, and hands you “Cor Per’Edhel ed’Hegel”.
10) Return to Jaestin Chaldean on the top floor of The Tower of the Moon and show him the ring to complete the quest.
QUEST 6: Of Fire and Ice: With These Rings I Thee Wonder
(offered by Jaestin Chaldean on completion of “Of Fire and Ice: Band of the Frost Maiden)
1) You need to find someone capable of helping you utilize the power of these two rings. Head to Gnomeland Security in Steamfont Mountains, and speak with Hedwocket Cobbleblork at -520, 175, 1035 to complete the quest.
QUEST 7: Of Fire and Ice: Suitable Components
(offered by Hedwocket Cobbleblork on completion of “Of Fire and Ice: With These Rings I Thee Wonder).
1) Kill Xalgoz in Karnor’s Castle to obtain a “Hollowed-Bone Wand”. He can be found in the basement at -145, -90, 26. The Mistmoore emissary stood next to Xalgoz can drop the quest update too. Either way, you will need help for this step, though it is possible to solo the emissary if you are creative.
2) Return to Hedwocket Cobbleblork in Steamfont Mountains (-520, 175, 1035).
3) Now you must kill Kotiz, the Death Bringer (level 86 ^^^ heroic) in Sebilis. He may be found in the basement, standing in front of the entrance to Venril Sathir’s Lair (at -62, -117, 554). He has a respawn time of approximately 2 hours if not up. You will need help for this step, and keep in mind that Kotiz is a caster, so stands at range. He also fears, and is immune to all control effects (as with any other named in Sebilis). This update does not appear to drop all the time. Loot “a Ring of Negative Energy” from Kotiz's corpse (it isn't a chest drop).
Apparently Praetorian Captain Nagol (-15, -129, 463: "a Praetorian officer" is the PH) in the previous room can drop this update, as well as Nihilist Yeegarn (72, -131, 164: "a cabilis resident" is the PH) and Nihilist Zeegarn (0, -136, 186: "a cabilis resident" is the PH) in either of the two entry rooms to the Ruins of Sebilis (basement) - unconfirmed.
4) Return to Hedwocket Cobbleblork in Steamfont Mountains (-520, 175, 1035).
5) He tells you that he can not make the wand himself, because he does not possess the necessary skills. He hands you a recipe for making the wand (level 80 woodworker), and a “bag of unassembled wand components”.
6) Taking the “bag of unassembled wand components” and the recipe that he gave you, find a level 80 woodworker to make your wand for you via the tradeskill commission system. You will need one “mahogany lumber” (T8 rare wood harvest) and 5 “silicate sandpaper” in addition to the “bag of unassembled wand components” that you were handed earlier.
7) The quest auto-completes once your woodworker has finished crafting the wand. This concludes the “heroic” portion of the quest line.
QUEST 8: Of Fire and Ice: The Dragon’s Marrow
1) Examine the Dragon’s Marrow that you received at the conclusion of the last quest to start “Of Fire and Ice: The Dragon’s Marrow”. This begins the “raid” portion of the wizard epic quest line.
2) Return to Jaestin Chaldean on the top floor of The Tower of the Moon and speak with him. He hands you “Arendahr’s Notes”.
3) Kill the following three raid mobs in any order:
Imzok's Revenge - The Protector's Realm ... Loot a frost covered pommel gem from the chest of Imzok's Revenge.
The Leviathan – The Chamber of Destiny ... Loot a Blessed Scroll of Ochliac from the chest of The Leviathan.
Druushk - Veeshan’s Peak ... This update is actually an auto-update upon killing Druushk. There is no chest drop.

4) Head back to The Tower of the Moon in Maj'dul, and speak with Jaestin Chaldean.
5) Speak with Jaestin Chaldean again to conclude the Kunark wizard epic quest series, and to receive your mythical weapon. Grats! You are done.

Re: Wizard Epic Spoiler - Complete Walkthrough (Image Heavy)
For the Chardok step you don't have to stay in that room. All the Gorowynnian mobs drop the stuff. All the way to the mobs on the bridge down through a couple rooms past that one.
To get the divine enchantment on the fire ring I'm pretty sure you either have to be a follower of sol ro or have completed all the deity quests.
The Kotiz update can also be received from the captain in the room prior.
Can confirm the mistmoore emissary drops update
First mob needed is Imzok not Venril

Re: Wizard Epic Spoiler - Complete Walkthrough (Image Heavy)
Great write up. Supremely useful.
And as an aside, I realize it'll be unconfirmed until someone kills it, but 'lotan beast' is pretty definitively the Leviathan.
From wiki:
Lotan or Lawtan is the seven-headed sea serpent or dragon of Ugaritic myths (Etymologically = the serpent of Law/Lot). He is either a pet of the god Yaw or Yaw himself, who was also known as Yam (sea) or Nahar (river); the cosmic ocean of myth is often known as a great stream. In the Hebrew analogue Lotan is the Leviathan (i.e Serpent (Tan) of Levi). He represents the mass destruction of floods, oceans, and winter. He lives in a palace in the sea. He fights with Baal Hadad, who scatters him. Lotan or Lawtan is the seven-headed sea serpent or dragon of Ugaritic myths (Etymologically = the serpent of Law/Lot).
