Still ugly as shit...seriously that fucking fish head is actually smiling !!

Besides that, the effect are nice, 10% double spell attack is awesome, and 10% base dmg is not bad too.

Fire of Intellect still sucks though if it counts toward the BoE cap.

All in all nice weapon (besides the look), but nothing as powerfull or game breaking than the guardian or monk epic for example. Where is our spell haste, spell reuse ? Or a game breaking thingy like : "allow you to dual wield" so that we can wear two wand.

Well, I am not "that" happy myself, even if of course I will wear it. The problem is that it is only pure personnal dps augment. and a personnal dps augment like that, and very uncontrolable (oops double spell attack icecomet), can get you killed easily.
Giving us more dps without way to control our aggro is seriously a pain in the ass. remove the 10% base dmg bonus, and give me the warlock desaggro effect instead, then I ll be happy.

Cause atm, I am affraid that weapon is just a free pass for famous "dead wizard jokes" that people likes to do.

you also need to counter in that the whole raid will be doing more dps as a whole with their own weapons... one example.. raid wide chime of the blades... look at the guardian epic as well.. they removed their shield requirement for their aa abilities... they will be rocking on dps. you need to counter in everything.

This weapon is great and if you would give up 10% base damage for a deaggro you need to go reroll your character. That deaggro helps them not get anhillated on group mobs when they start tearing up AEs.
You want deaggro? bind blip to ball of magma or something.

I dont like 2 things about our epic: FUCKING AWEFULL DESIGN and stupid +5 Max power effect. I mean come on, who needs another +~500 pwr? Change it at least to -5 hate generation or something like that.

if you think a spell like Blip can maintain your aggro low enough when you ll be throwing double attack icecomet, then you should think a bit more :p blip is like a grain of salt in the sea, if it was that easy to get our aggro low enough, we wouldn't beg for amend :p

Maybe its just cause I run my graphics in maximum but I think the staff itself, both versions, looks pretty sweet. /shrug. It casts a cool shadow :D. Sure 5% power could have been 5% something else. Otherwise I think someone would have to smoke pcp to disagree with this weapon. Nice job SoE. Aggro potential is not a deciding factor to me

If you're begging for Amends on a raid you have one paladin too many in your raid or your tank blows.
