Silver

I posted this in the noob questions section but thought it might be a bit better here since I'm a wizard.

Assume we have two items A and B.
Item A
Level 80
50 int, 50 agi, 50 sta
200hp 200 power
1000 heat 1000 cold
5 spell crit
50 spell damage

Proc
1.8 ppm on hostile spell
Deals 400-600 dmg

Item B
Level 78
50 int, 50 agi, 50 sta
200hp 200 power
1000 heat 1000 cold
5 spell crit
50 spell damage

Proc
1.8 ppm on hostile spell
Deals 400-600 dmg

Both items are exactly the same except for level. My question is how does this effect a level 80 player fighting mobs level 85-87?
Do you guys have a link to a post where a developer has commented on this?
I was under the impression that as long as the item is not grey you will get the full effect of the item, but I have been hearing rumors that lower level items won't give you the full benefit of the crit chance and stats and procs etc etc vs higher level mobs. Is this true and if so how do you know it is true?

I am baffled for a couple reasons.

There is one lvl 20 wizard in the entire game named Silver. There are no level 80's named Silver on Oasis. There is no player named Silver in Paradigm. WHO YOU BE? :O

Anyhow on to your question....If you read a 20% crit chance it will be slightly lower against an orange con or yellow con. Stats still work all the same afaik. Even though BCG is level 64 I still gain 20 int from it, likewise with the rest of its stats. I mean your resists reads - you will absorb 50% cold damage from a level 80 mob. Obviously you won't absorb 50% from a lvl 85 mob, but you may absorb more than 50% from a 75 mob. Someone feel free to correct me if that info is false.

I am still tripping on your board info though...is it dated? lol
