I usually cast this spell along with my fire/cold procs when the tank pulls due to the long casting time...perfect for aggro...instead of just waiting there and giving the tank a sec or 2 you...can pop this huge dot on the mob (which has a somewhat long casting time) which shouldnt rip aggro.
