Anyone Able to Solo Megalodon

Immune to roots. Immun to stuns but not to snare. I tried to pop on my 4 sec snare then AOE snare which works but then he kills me...not enough time to get away.

Some ranger on my server logs on and off camps him and kills him solo by snaring him. He literally logs on as soon as he pops doesnt give anyone a chance to get a grp together so I was hoping there's some way we can solo it...really want those shoudlers.

I believe it is possible, but very, very difficult. Meh, a defiler and dirge do it for me. If it's up, chances are they're killing it, and the lewt goes to me. See if you can get that to work for you.

Wizards can't solo this anymore. Matter fact I think we was 'beefed' a couple months ago because so many wizards were soloing him. If a wizard does solo him I want to see a fraps! Least I got one shoulder drop while he was a farmable chump. ;O

As someone had said, it isn't impossible, but it is extremely hard. Besides needing to use enough Trauma potions to empty the broker, you would need to time Numbing cold perfectly (5m radius) and enough recast reduction items to get the recast on it below the duration.

Long story short, it isn't worth the time or effect. Find some people to help you (or a scout to solo it for you), or just buy it off the broker.

IMO anything immune to root should be immune to snare.

But that's just my belief that being immune to control spells should be equal and just not a method of making something soloable only by scouts.

Rooting and nuking is mindless. Soloing with snares actually takes a tiny bit of effort.

aye but the prob with snares for wizards is that ours is only what 4-6 secs? then we have a pbaoe snare but have to be in range... If we got something like conj's "frigid winds" it'd be awesome.

I'm cool with there being *some* mobs in the game we can't solo and someone else can.
