Default Re: Impact of GU44

Considering Im lacking a whole great deal of crit gear (traks belt, lava channel sleeves, new negative energy ring etc) and am already able to obtain 89 - 94% with current gear setup. If I can get enough gear make that +12% from AA pointless it is very very tempting to go and grab another AA line. I've messed around with the battlemage and INT line.

Battlemage is kind of cool because there was a real noticeable hit rate improvement when I spec'd for +48 to every casting skill. INT line was cool because on say something like Trak, you can go all out and the second you gain aggro you have an instant cast ability to decrease threat by 2 positions. Though atlast, I do not have enough crit gear to where spec'ing off STR would be negligable, but it sure would add some flavor to the wizard to spec one of those lines while virtually losing nothing. Hell I even dropped the 12% power reduction when experimenting with different end lines - with that illy mythical it really doesn't even make a difference.

Deagro supposedly caps at 50% (according to Aeralik), so it would only be 600. Plus another couple hundred from the damage.

As far as dropping AA's from crit if you have all the gear, to make it even remotely worth it to do that (and I still think it wouldn't be) you'd have to drop th end wis line and 2 points out of FH to get the final Int ability to possibly have a trade off. I still don't think it would be worth it though.

Yes 600 from the deaggro aspect but you are also transfering 4% which I tought came from a differnt cap, not sure exactly how they play together, and 4% tranfers from 1200 would be 48 /shrug.
So with out doing math at the time just added 25 from the hate transfer as I guess the reduction and transfer interaction affect each other in some way.

Trakanon's Gaze > INT Line final ability

I also have serious doubts as to whether +disruption does much of anything. When one grouping the x4 in KP the other day, it took us two pulls (group wiped at 4% /sigh, and even though I kited it in circles for 2 min min they didn't get back in time... slow pokes ). The first pull my ball of magma hit rate was about 80% (we had no bards). The second pull I put on my claymore hoping that the +69 disruption proc that is pretty much always up would help my hit rate, but sure enough my ball of magma hit rate was still about 80%. And this is against a yellow con x4.

I'm not sure exactly what they did to mage resist rate, but it seems very on or off. Either the mob is debuffed (I'm thinking wisdom debuffs here are the primary factor) and you hit 100% of the time, or the mob is not debuffed, and you hit 80% of the time. Unfortunately it doesn't look like disruption helps much.

When i get to the position where I am sitting at capped spell crit (with some extra to try to compensate against orange con mobs), I will consider dropping some crits via gear selection before dropping the STR line - the other 2 lines just don't provide enough gains to make it the first choice.

lol oh yeah I forgot that I had to drop FH down some points, knew there was something I was missing that seemed too good. Although ill need the crit line for a while to be at 100% solo and w/o potion. Maybe I can get enough gear to save myself the cost of second sights

WHAT THE FUCK DID THEY DO TO THE NEXUS PANTS.

They take away the set bonus for Bolt of Ice, move it to only being on the pants, which was a pisser in T7, and instead we get FUCKING IMPACT CONVERSION V2.0.

Shut the fuck up. It should be on the pants, there is nothing wrong with this. If you want to bitch about the 2 set bitch about the 2 set, not the pants. If you are going to bitch about the pants bitch about the fact that we didn't get the resistability increase from the set bonus also.

I'm not all that concerned about the 2-set bonus tbh. Granted it doesnt offer an increase in dps, but with the amount of stoneskin items now available to us, i'm interested to see how viable a tank we could be.

That's:

3 single-trigger stoneskins on a 10% (base) chance to proc.
1 single-trigger stoneskin on a 3% (base) chance to proc.
3 double-trigger (60%+) stoneskins on a 10% (base) chance to proc.

Add in:

Templar stoneskin
Dirge stoneskin
Blessings
Luck of the Dirge
(Ancestry)
Avatar boots.
