Ok, a little overzealous maybe.

But the fact remains that I don't care to spend my time working towards a set of armor so that my first set bonus is an ability I can use when soloing, because there's no way you can tell me if I pull aggro on a raid mob that it's going to help me, impact conversion is a crappy ability for cloth wearers, and in the event I survive the hit AND have the 1/10 chance it stoneskins the next two, I've probably already F'd the raid by dragging the mob off the tank.

It is actually really useful on a few mobs if you are intelligent about it. It can very easily eat certain ae's that could possibly kill you otherwise.

The choker doesn't proc dispersion, but if dispersion is up it will eat the choker's damage... which is pretty gay imo...

Why couldn't they just leave the fucking 60% HP condition as it was? I don't need this shit to eat choker damage or thornstorms or w/e. How about eating every single Trak AE? Now we're talking.

I server disco'd the Hood of Dark Dealings last night on Crushbone. The "may randomly spike for much greater damage" was approximately a 2.5k spike and it was spiking approximately 10% of the time. Group - Wiz, Illus, Troub, Conj, Ass, Temp.

Having said that, I wouldn't put too much stock in these findings since it is supposedly a random spike and this is only based on the dozen or so SoH fights after I got the hat.
