Something very disturbing has happened over the last few days.

Suddenly, the casting speed of my spells has slowed so much that I can practically get up, go to the kitchen, poor myself a(nother) glass of wine and return before Bolt of Ice has dispatched.

My computer is not lagging. I adjusted my graphics performance downward. I have not made any changes to AA's, etc.

It was embarrassing last night. I raided with my new guild and had a troub and TC on me - casting time was OVER the stated, even with TC! My dps tanked by an average of 1K.

I have asked around, and no one seems to know what's going on.

Has this happened to anyone else? Ideas as to why?

Finally, are wizzy spells, with certain types of buffs, subject to perpetuity?

btw: u said ur casting speed went down dramaticly...did u accidently reset your AA's? even then 1k...

He sais his dps was 1K lower than usual. not 1K total... i hope...

And when you join a new guild, depending if they're much better than your last one might be the reason, you should, in theory, parse higher in a better guild but if you're gear are crap and everyone else got myth and stuff...might be the reason

As long as its not the transfer-AA /facepalm reason listed above, the only thing I can think of is this:

New guild, new pulls. Was it an encounter or zone you had not done before? Even if you had, chances are they pulled it completely different than your last tank that you were used to. What I mean is...like in PR, maybe you have an awesome tank who ae's, reinforces and shit and holds every add for the skelly's right next to each other...perfect for your JC'd Fission to double attack on....or step into another raidforce and these dudes seem to want to offtank them apart or some gay shit....stuff like that.

Serious differences in overall raid DPS will also fuck with you at first...esp if your new guild kills shit alot faster...adjust, quickly.

Basically, everyone does their best work when they are cool and know exactly whats up next and can even anticipate other's moves.


Or your comp is fucked, maybe your ISP is just shitty (Comcast customers unite), maybe you left in dispersion gear and forgot to equip the dps shit, perhaps there's 60 other people in zone and all of em are lined up on a hill 20 feet away watching you and your crew get down...i dunno.

Thanks for the responses - no, I didn't switch servers, I didn't change my AA's...but I did switch out old gear for RE2 stuff...but I don't see an obvious reason for the slowdown. This is not the first time I raided with this guild. I've raided with them about 6 times, and last night was the first time I sucked at dps.

Actually sounds like there may of been missing buffs like possible monk/troub/illy ect. Also ask guilds that dont have brigs what mising thier debuffs does to dps. I am willing to bet everyones dps was down that night.

Srsly, it's likely related to debuffs. If your gear swap drastically changed your spells you might need to re-order them. If the guild is better than the one you left, your DPS should go up, not down.
