Dark orb is base damage, longer proc, and procs off any spell. Vek item is only 7 seconds, spell damage (weaker) instead of base, and only procs off hostile spells. It's a few steps down from top symbol for wizard still.

Ok sweet is it worth farmin the zone for then? im using the gassy scepter and the praetor's guard atm. Our guild dosnt farm mayong so i'm not sure if i will ever see the dark orb. I am guessin the new item may be some dps increase in raids but if you all think it would be minimal over the gassy scepter then i may just do the zone here and there rather then every night. Could use the time to get the cloak in RE or somthing.
