Reality

I have read through quite a few spell orders to maximize DPS, and I saw some variations on Storming Tempest and where it should be cast. Any suggestions? Right now I have it going down just after the pre-cast and before the FH, Fission, BoI, etc. etc. etc.

Any help would great.

I'm casting it while mob running to the tank. It lasts a long time so earlier you put it on mob - more dps you have. If you have problems with taking aggro on pull - use deagro right after the Tempest - it will help a lot.

For me, If I cast Storming Tempest first it gets resisted a lot. When that happens, your dps is pretty much screwed for that fight...can't afford that. I cast Shield on the tank, then Ice Spears and ST third...by then the other classes have had a chance to cast their debuffs, and it is almost never resisted at that point.

This is usually what I do. Temp buffs and shield on inc, and then Ice Spears and Tempest while mob is running to tank. If I don't do spears before tempest, it gets resisted.

Tempest do magic damage and should not be affected by Ice Spears.

Indeed it SHOULD not, however, I find that using Ice Spears makes my resist rate go way down. Maybe it's just me, but I'm almost certain Ice Spears may have some hidden debuff.

I know. But, I still get resisted hardcore when I don't spears before I tempest on inc.
