VP / Void Shard Gear - Page 2

I tried some combination, I don't really know if the one I chose is the best, in terms of pure DPS and knowing that I generally have TC 50% of the time in raids.
I listed the gear I wear in raid, but I added the gear I could use instead.
Please tell me what you think ... I admit it is a bit too complicated for my little mind (but don't tell to my mother, she thinks I'm a very clever wizard)

of course i can buy any T2... I have some that I bought at beginning but I don't wear them. I still don't have any fabled TSO...

So if I am understanding this correctly... the 5 piece T2 shard set isn't as important as the VP Pants. So I would be better off with VP pants, RoDP and Dark Mail Gaunts over the 5 piece T2 bonus?

The question is will the new T3 7 piece bonus of +7 base damage over DPS the Hood of DD?

@Balnazzar: definitely yes

@Shadow: Imo it's easy (as a raider) to get at least 2 pieces of tso gear, so for any raider that set is simply useless and i furthermore don't think that there are many non-raiders who have HoDD.

hehe I'm a raider with HoDD, but still no T3 : getting HoDD is easier, because even if drop rate is low, mob is easy ! TSO raid are hard, then we don't kill a lot of named, drop rate is low, then T3 is rarer than butter in a fireplace

Why wear all those pieces for 7% base when you have to take off gloves that proc 5% base thats up like all the time. Unless im totally just ignorant and ya don't have to remove the gloves! Still seems shiesty, like you'd have to take off too many good items, in most cases.

you have to take them off, since there are no shard armor cuffs except im totally blind and didnt see them

I dont have all my patterns. I will wear my 6 set once I get it. Until then, the gear will be as it is shown on station players. EverQuest II Players - Profile for Lustrix

Depending on the fight I will rotate out chest pieces. I primarily roll with Robe of Aracne hatred. If I am having issues with power and I know I will get hit to proc it and I want some dispersion, I will use Robe of Dark Power. I use a ton of GVB items. I will get the GVB robe that Penta/Ultra drop. Not only does it have GVB on it, it has nice crit, crit bonus, and critical mitigation.

I am in no Avatar killing guild so all my gear will be is instanced content until we want to kill Avatarsa again but TSO has hurt my guild pretty bad but we manage.
