And yet there's plenty of other solutions to regen power like mystic Spirit Tap, displacement, stuff like that.
So you shouldn't expect your illusionist to cast Savante or Manatap or shit like that to regen your power when u Manaburn instead of dps'ing. Other point is Manaburn is the wrong spec for TSO as it's already been pointed out.

- I used Manaburn for a second, and I no longer use it. That is what I said in my last post, you know, the one you quoted? I never said that an illy should cast Savante or Manatap, that was not me.
- Illusionists are a utility class. They are needed for mana-regen and other buffs; they are pretty much indespensible in raids, as are bards and healers (other utility classes). Just because some illy's can now top a parse does not mean that they are no longer a utility class. They are a utility class that,
when played well, can put out a lot of dps. Simple. Wizards, on the other hand, don't bring a lot to the table other than dps. That makes us a pure dps class.
- You are actually saying that mana drain fights are "uncommon" in TSO?? Are you serious??
Zarakon - Chilling Bloodcurse
Switchmaster - Choatic Infusion
Gynok - Mark of the Gnollslayer
Tythus - Dark Energy Flow
Mynzak - Void Flames
These are just a few of the serious power drains that I can think of...and they don't involve just "two people that are low on power for whatever reason". They involve several people, serially, all the time, and require cross raid mana regens.
Do you even raid??
