My point is the AA's. If you get to 80 and have less than 100 AA's, it's going to take a lot of time in grey zones to fix that.
Leveling first was perfect advice in EQ1, when you got AA exp the same way you got level exp, but the rate of return on killing mobs for AA exp is very very low in EQ2, and once you're 80 and get done with the T8 quests, your choices are kill mobs/run shards or do grey quests to get your AA. You're going to be running shards anyway, but if you can't hang on the parses because you don't have enough AA, it's going to get hard to find a good group (I know, because I have a list of DPS toons I won't group with because they can't out-parse my Inq). Questing at the appropriate level is the most efficient way to earn AA exp, in my experience.
