Default Leveling aa's advice

OK, I checked the sticky and it linked only to end game aa set ups and gear so here is my question...

What kind of aa set up should I use for leveling/pvp?

At the moment I am 44862 in stam (with the 2 obviously on mana shield). And am now starting on the str tree (aiming for 4448 with the 8 being in spell crit).

I aim to level reasonably quickly with full MC at each tier mainly based on int, however I do plan on having capped aa all the way too. Basically I want to hit as hard as possible and kill mobs as quickly as possible.

Any advice on a good aa build? Is my idea a good one or completely rubbish ect ect.

Thanx

I've been struggling with this a bit myself (currently locked at level 42). I don't PvP, and I haven't had much trouble soloing heroics, so I've just been going with a DPS build, although I have considered getting a mirror to play around with a STA line build.

I currently have 4/4/4/8 STR and am working my way down AGI for reduced cast time - having respec'd away from working down the WIS line after being in a fast-killing group last night where I was having trouble getting off more than 1 or 2 spells before the mobs died.

I also have a bunch of points in the EoF Heat tree - 5 points wherever it yields reduced cast times and minimum points elsewhere to get to the Ball of Flames enhancement.

I just broke 60 AA, so my next 10 points will go into TSO 2nd tier - root mastery and the plasmatic pulse enhancement. After that, it's back to AGI line.

Tbh I'd still recommend leaving the STR/STA tree and going 4/4/6/8/2 AGI for Casting & Reuse (good for all spells) and 4/7/4/8/1 WIS for Freehand/Base/Power (bigger hits, less power) before heading to the other trees.

Tho I levelled before AA's were introduced so I don't know how the STA tree would help. I can only see it for when you're fighting a mob with ranged abilities. All else is root & nuke.

But if what you have is already working for you all is good

Then ofc when you're reaching the level cap the sticky is the way to go.

Cheers guys. Think ill stick with the stam tree (mana shield is too good pvp) and continue with the strength tree. Am yet to group so not sure about the casting speed thing, will try to grp with some guildies tom.

I would max out points in the magi's shield in the eof line first, and then bump it up more in the tso lines once you have enough AA. Its a lifesaver for root breaks, wanderers, etc, or if your just too lazy to root.

Ok, so I got a mirror and set up a solo (survival) spec. It works very well, although obviously somewhat slower than before.

I went STA 4/4/8, and am working toward STR 4/4/8. I'm thinking I'll fill this out with WIS 4/4/4/5, until I hit 70. Manashield seems counterproductive for PvE, and so far, the points I have into wards are more than sufficient, so I'll use those points for faster killing instead.

In EoF, I put 10 points into magi shield and another 10 into mail of frost (+3 in the detaunt to get there). From here, I'll put points into Heat (~19 points for faster casts/reuse) and Cold (8 points to max enchanced Ice Comet).

In TSO, I have +hps, +mount speed, root mastery, the enhancement for magi shield, and bewilderment (nice fast nuke).

So far it is an improvement over just using a DPS spec for soloing - mainly for multi-mob encounters, but it's also nice for the occasional root resist, and excellent when space is tight. In MC gear, halfway through T5, my mit is 36% and avoidance is 38%, with 3 points left to go in +parry.
