I personally think that Proc damage was way over powered with the release of tso. So that being said it is no suprise to me that they are going to "nerf" proc damage.
As a wizard I dont think it will effect my dps that much because I cast much more slowly than most.
I think that this change will be a move in the right direction for game balance, and I look forward to it.

I dont agree with the "nerf." I feel very bad for Summoners and Enchanters. They made Avatar look with awesome procs on them...only to nerf them later? It doesnt make sense...
They have done all this "nerfing" to mobs and making them more killable...with the over all dps nerf...how killable will they be now? With Avatars...are they still going to leave the 6 min buff timer?
I think its a bad move...ppl are enjoying the game atm ...

I can't imagine that a good chunk of those procs weren't made with the various buffs in mind, even if they hadn't fully considered the top end. I can understand making it so they can more directly control what the proc's do and how powerful they are. But they need to rescale the existing procs to at least put them in a good range.
We might be affected less than other classes, but it could still be close to a 10% hit, hard to say much before it hits test and had a chance to play.

Yes some classes will be effected in a negative way, but they did mention they wanted to keep some of the procs that were intended to be powerful. Im assuming they mean avitar charm procs (lets hope).
As far as summoners, that is a completely differnt story.

I guess what I don't understand is that if the dps is too high why not nerf it all around and not just the casters. Hell, it even seems preditors get a slight buff (no suprize).
Is it really that hard to balance these procs and still be fair? There are already some people pissed, why make even more.
Someone needs to get their head out of their ass and start thinking about the people that pay their paychecks.

It's fucking retarded is what it is. Why would I even want any loot when my spirit drain wrist will prolly hit just as hard as bracelet of thule does now. The update, idea and fix is total shit and a half assed idea.
The power of a raids dps is only as efficient based on the ratio of dps output vs the mobs health. Adjust the fucking mobs don't adjust the players. Horrendus fail if they really implement it. Procs are the most fun part of a mage and have been since I was playing around in KoS with them. Overnight the game is going to become drastically less fun. What a great update. Lets make a game, something people use for entertainment, less fun. Because fun entertaining activities become more awesome when you make them less fun. This is like the 4th game destroying idea they've thought of in the last several months, they didn't put the other 3 live because well, they were game destroying shit ideas. Nothing new with this one, just another shitty idea that wasn't thought out at all and done lazily and broadly.
I choose to play a wizard cause its overpowered, I mean i saw bolt of ice and lol'd and just had to roll the class. Why would anyone who choose a wizard not want to be overpowered? Being powerful is uh....fun. Mages aint tanking TSO raid mobs or healing tanks so who the fuck cares, give them insane dps, someone needs it.

All this means to me is that they now can adjust all of the current items to the level they "should" be in this new system. That would be the non-lazy thing to do imo.
Should be on test this week. We'll see how bad it is!
