Default Where does PVP battlemage set sit in progression?

Obviously this set is best to wear when pvping, but what about when Raid DPSing?

Any opinions on where this set lies, between t3 and t4? even with or above t4 set?

I know this set is only on the PVP server so most of you dont care, but im still hoping someone out there knows.

Thanks

http://eq2.zam.com/search.html?q=battlemage%27s to check out the set if you want.

I wear the robe, pants, hat and gloves for the pvp 4-set, and the raiding (t4) 2-set from forearms and boots.

It works pretty well for raiding, but for the most part, the raid set (t4) is better for dps. The 10% resistability on the pvp pants is pretty useless on raids since most mobs get debuffed pretty good pretty quick, and there are much better robes out there if you aren't stuck wearing the pvp robe for the BoI recast. Also, the shoulders, boots, and gloves have nothing more than 125 spell mod and some crit mit on them.

I'd say it's not terribly far behind the raid set for pure dps, but in terms of resists and pure HP, pvp set is in the lead.

So the PVP will hold me over well while I should be looking for the t4 patterns, then i can switch setups depending on pvp or raiding. Cool thanks for the good reply.

If you dont have the VP set legs then you will need the pvp robe. The reduction in cast time to BOI is a must have. That leaves you needing the pvp legs as well. Since there isnt really any decent legs out there the casting speed and resist bonus are the best option.

If your not raiding for TSO patterns then the PVP 4 set will be the best your going to get. the +5 crit bonus on the helm is really nice. and at that point you have 3 peices on you may as well pick up the boots and get the 4 set bonus that gives you 20% to your ball.

If you are raiding TSO it depends on your level of progression and the slots you have access to. My alt has the pvp 4 set (bp, leg, helm, boot) But I traded off the boots and the helm for TSO raid pieces. But if you can get yourself upto 108% crit on raids and still carry the PVP 4 set then do it.
