Hey guys, I've been out of eq2 now for a little while and i've just started playing again..

My questions are my gear and gear upgrades that anyone could suggest maybe even some quests for gear.. I know some of my gear is well just crap and at least one piece is just not suited for a wizard at all lol.

Also my AA lines, i'm pretty sure they are ok, i don't have a whole lot atm anyway. I mostly solo and get in some groups every now and then..

The last question would be where to solo, I've currently been soloing in Tenebrous Tangle doing to basket quest and kill various things. Any suggestions would be much apriecated..

Question one, gear and gear upgrades -

For the most part, there isn't a lot of specialized gear in your level range for wizards - I suppose keep an eye out for pieces with intelligence, power, spell damage, and the very few and far between damage spell crit chance. Really though, you don't need to worry about gear that much if you are looking to solo quest your way to level 80. - just root, nuke, rinse, repeat and you'll do fine.

The itemization that will affect your performance drastically starts at level 70+, and of course, there's hundreds of pieces of gear of varying quality at level 80.

Your second question - aa lines.

Check the "Wizard dps guide" link on the above linked page for some information on how to spec for maximum dps, as well as lots of other handy information on how to play your wizard.

edit: Yes, I am aware that the wizard dps guide is outdated all the way back to rok, but a lot of the aa spec info and spell value stuff can still be helpful for non raiders, since I, and everyone else, are too lazy to make a proper, up to date, tso guide.

Solo questing isn't so much what i want to do but I find that it's something that i end up doing a whole lot.

I have a 64 wizard that I am loving playing. I was full treasured gear from LS until I hit 62. I am now in almost full MC gear and my spell damage dropped by about 0,5% but my health pool doubled.

My suggestions for you, get full MC at 62. Keep your Ruined Ring and try to get a 2nd, get a decent cape, the one u have is useless for wizards. Try the Deep Forge HQ for an uber cape although you will need a good group for it. Also, charms, why oh why do you not have the Everfrost charm? It is easy to get and is seriously good (it will last you all the way to level 80 probably).

As for solo questing, TT is ok but not many decent quests there, I suggest PoF/Living Tombs/Peacock Club timelines until you get a few levels high then hit the other Overrealm zones and Looping Planes.
